Don't Drop Your Drawers!

This will be going to my crazy friend that was recently in an auto accident and is now having to use a walker for a while.  I'm telling ya' it looks exactly like her too!  Hair - short and gray.  Nightie - yellow her favorite color and she has a blue robe.  Boobs......yes, they're sagging!  Shoes - she always wears those Ugg bootie thingy-s.  Panties (drawers, bloomers, undies)...whatever you prefer to call them......

Ah, the panties.........several years ago I met her at lunch and we went walking into the local Dairy Queen.  You stand up at the counter to order and of course all the tables in there face the counter.  We were about half way through ordering and I looked down and yep..........she'd dropped her drawers!!!!   Her panties had fallen all the way down past her knees.  Seriously!  I'm one of those that always tries to find humor in situations but I completely lost it on this one.  I laughed so hard I was crying.  Everyone in there looked over to see what I was laughing about - right as she was trying to pull them back up.  That just made me laugh even harder!!  We still laugh about it to this day so I know she'll get a kick out of the card.

The image is from Polkadoodles, patterned paper and sentiment from SU, and the flowers from a die.

Changes..........also have a few changes I'm going to add here.  I'm finding it almost impossible to do all the commenting, make a card, take care of Jim, do everything else I need to do around here, and have any free time for myself.....plus, I'm making myself miserable even trying!   So, I'm not going to be commenting or posting as much in the future and I hope you understand.  Hopefully this will leave me a little extra time for other things.

Thanks for stopping by.........and keep smiling!
Lynn

Brilliant card Lyyn - just perfect for Mrs Droopy Drawers! She's gonna just love it!

And as for you stepping back a little, you know that good ole expression of Darnell's about life is too short. Take time to smell the roses, relax and be less stressed if possible. We'll still be here!

Hugs

Di xx

Oh what I wouldn't have given to have been in that Dairy Queen that day. That was probably the best day in a lot of people's lives. Your friend will really be cheered up when she receives this fun card. I am sorry that she was in an accident and I wish her the best and a speedy recovery. I completely understand about trying to post, comment and get everything else done that is why I don't even post anymore at all. It just takes a lot of time to prepare for a post and at my age time is precious. Enjoy your time doing things that really matter to you, Jim and Rambo. That will make you the happiest. Have a good day.

Lynn, it's 2:00 in the morning at my house and I'm sitting here, laughing myself out of my chair! This is just too funny. And your story about your friend is wonderful. I know she's going to love this.
I'll miss your fun posts but certainly understand about the need to take care of other things in your life right now. Family and loved ones always come first. Hugs, my friend.

I totally understand what you're saying, Lynn. Take care of Jim and yourself first and foremost. That's the most important.

This card is hilarious, perfectly colored and paper pieced. A fun keepsake for your friend. I hope she'll be on her own two feet soon and with some new underwear!

This is the cutest card! Sounds like your friend will love it...She sounds like a really good sport. I was laughing ...not at her...but with her. I had almost the same thing happen to me. Way back when I was pregnant with my daughter my undies were so stretched with my big belly...that the elastic gave way...fortunately, I was wearing a long coat at the time this happened...and wasn't at a place where the whole world saw my mishap. (I was still pretty embarrassed though.

I know what you mean, Lynn! I'm only now coming by to comment on this hysterically funny post after my recent break. I just couldn't pass this one without commenting! Your story was a hoot and your friend sounds like a great sport! Not only that but she and I could be twins ~ this is prezackly what I looked like using the walker for a week after my bladder lift!!

I hope you drop by and show us a card now and then because your cards are always a welcome smile and welcome inspiration, but don't worry about visiting when you have so much on your plate!

Happy Mother's Day! Hugs, Darnell xxoo
