The Lizards Aren't Leaping

It's been so hot in Texas this year even the lizards are refusing to leap!  They mainly just stare at you, ask what the heck is going on, and then go back to sleep.  I don't blame them at all and usually want to do the same thing.

It's been a while I know.  In the meantime I discovered Instagram.  Talk about a babe in the woods....that's me!  My number one son (he's actually the only son) got it set up for me and then went back home!  Grrrrrr.........Slowly but surely I did figure out a few things on my own - sorta.  If you're on Instagram you can find me here or just do a search on jimlynn01 when you get on Instagram.   It's quick and easy and a real time saver for me right now.

Things are rocking along here as always I suppose.  Could be worse and could be better so we'll just go with the flow of things right now.  It really has been hot here though - topped out at 107 the other day and I didn't want to walk outside for fear of melting (as if that'd ever happen).  Even Rambo rolled his eyes at me when I told him he needed to go outside for his usual business.

The above birthday card used a stamp set from Pretty Cute Stamps.  I added a couple pieces of pattern paper and sequins.   Done deal.

Edited: I completed forgot about entering this in the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies challenge so am doing it right now.  Fun challenge!

Thanks for stopping by and I'll get by your blog when I can.
Lynn

I miss you and it is so good to see you! That gave me a great smile for the morning. Here is what is so funny, I actually made a Leapin Lizards card the other day and sent it to my GS. I will have to post it soon. I sure do love your's and the combo of designer paper you used. How did we ever survive without stitched rectangles? Well please do not melt and give Rambo a scratch behind the ear from me.

Good to see you back, Lynn. What a fun card, love your little lizard.

It's more like autumn in my part of the UK - cold, wet and windy. I gave in and put a jumper on today! xx

How fun to see this great card from you today Lynn! I'm sorry I can't follow you - I don't own a smart phone which one needs to open an account on instagram I think? Sorry I'll be missing most of your work but I don't blame you for taking the easy, time-saving route to posting! I love this lizard card - he's too stinkin' cute! Stay cool down there if you can, and just keep drinkin' anything to stay hydrated! LOL

Oh, Lynn, I adore that silly lizard! Great color combo. It's been hot out here where I am, too, and I just stay indoors (or run away to cooler places!)
You really should think about entering this into the challenge at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies. :-D

What a fun card and such a cute image if a lizard can be cute. Great coloring and your dp is perfect with it. I'm on Instagram and I look, but have yet to post anything there. We've been having so much rain down here in South TX that it's keeping the temps down some. Supposed to be in the high 80's this next week! What?????? It's August already!

How great to see this fun leapin' lizard birthday card in my feed today, Lynn! You are so right about the Texas heat. Just about every blade of grass in my yard was an ugly brown until we got a couple of showers last week!

I am so impressed with your techi skills! I have been too chicken to make the leap to Instagram!

Good to see you, Lynn! Your lizard card is bright and fun and you know I love me a lizzie! Our temps have been up that high, too, and for waaaaaaay more days than ever before in the 40 years we've been here. Our lizzies, too, seem stupefied by what's going on! Sorry I'm late popping in. We went on vacation to the north coast to cool off, but it was just as hot there!! Hugs, Darnell

So great to see you here Lynn - as you know I have 'found' you on IG. A fun card - I hope it cols down for you soon. Poor Rambo - sounds like dehydration could take over from outside 'business' if you weren't careful!!
Blessings

Oh my gosh Lynn! This card is darling! We are having 80 degree days here in Maryland. I am still in my wheelchair for another two weeks but my sweet husband installed railing on our stairs so I am back in my craft room!

Hugs,
Chriss

Great card Lynn and the green on the lizard really makes it pop off the background. Cute sentiment too.
It's been wickedly hot here too and for all of July and most of August. Very dry too with a major lack of rain. I dislike the heat but love the central air conditioning. I'm like Rambo... if I had to go out to do my business in that heat, I'd probably never have a drink of water again!

Hi Lynn,

Was meaning to send an email to you as you keep coming in my thoughts. This card is darn cute yet in real life I am so scared of lizards. Yes, even at 51 I am so.

Hope you are well and getting time for yourself. I miss you. Most of my blogger friends seem to have become quiet due to one reason or another and I miss them. That said, I don't mean to pressure you to visit me.

Lots of love,

Monica

You colored your lizzie real pretty, Lynn! And she looks so great against that green chevron background! We've had several days of triple digits throughout the summer, too. Our highest was 112, which is pretty freakin' weird for the Bay Area, but then even Oregon got super hot! Just cray-cray! Anyway glad to see you and glad to hear you and Jim and Rambo and the lizards are all hanging in there!! Big Hugs, Darnell

Hi - me, again! After I left, I thought, wait a minute, didn't she do a lizard like that last time so I came back and see that it IS last time! I thought it was a new September posting. Oy! You can just delete these last two comments, but it was nice to pop in for a visit anyway! I'm losing it!!
