Leopard in the Wild

The entire time I was using this stencil from Newton's Nook for the background on this card, I was thinking of that song The Lion Sleeps Tonight.  Maybe you have to have a few years on you before you remember it, but it really is an oldie but goodie.  Anyway............

Instead of a lion, we have a leopard hiding among the leaves - and sky too.  The leopard and sentiment are from My Favorite Things - also with the die to frame it out with.  Dimensional tape was used to pop up some of the image and also the sentiment.

Following the sketch challenge at My Favorite Things this week, I'll enter it in their challenge.

Thanks for stopping by..............
Lynn

Oh yes, I can sing that song right along with you. It is so catchy. This card is so clever. The perfect stencil to use and the sky is great with the look of puffy clouds. The leopard is colored so well and looks authentic and I love the shape you matted it on. He looks like a happy leopard.

Great take on that sketch, Lynn, and I adore the little leopard! Too cute. :-D I forget about using stencils. Mine are stored away someplace and need to dig them out and see what I have. I'm inspired now by your idea of using them to make background for cards. Thanks for the great idea!

Was one of my favs back in the day, and I still love it! Great work on that super nifty leaf stencil. So perfect for this little leopard hanging on his tree limb. The circle die is just the thing to show off this so-cute design. TFS & Hugs. Happy Memorial Day too.
