It's a Little Fishy

Since Jim and I haven't been able to go fishing for a while, I thought I'd at least make a couple of fishy cards.  It's much cooler to just stay inside during this miserable heat we're having  than to be sitting in the middle of a lake somewhere burning to a crisp.

I used several different stamp sets on the above card - My Favorite Things (new release Gill Friends), Lawn Fawn (Life is Good), and Simon Says Stamp (Best Fishes).  The fish are from MFT and the "accessories" and sentiment are from LF and SSS.  I also used a Newton's Nook wave stencil for the background, some Paper Studio patterned paper that looks like sand, an embossing folder, and some clear crystals from Studio Katia.

For this second fishy card I used the My Favorite Things wave stencil and  Gill Friends stamp set.  Both of these are new releases.   I added a few of my clouds, the embossing folder, and clear crystals once again.  The pink/purple fish was made to look 3-D by stamping the fins twice and popping up.

I'll enter these in the sketch challenge at My Favorite Things.

Thanks for stopping by............
Lynn

These are such fun cards. The waves and water and the clouds are so perfect and all those fish-so cute. Great coloring and the scenes and sand are so cool. Who needs to bake in the sun when you have these to see the fish. The puffer is adorable and I love how you combined the stamp sets.

Love how you've done these watery-cool cards with the fishing themes. Much, much better than sitting out in the hot sun waiting for a bite.I like the clever way you've done the tag as the focal piece, and coloring is terrific too. Stay inside, in the cool, and craft. Starting to get real hot here as well. TFS & Big hugs.

Two completely adorable and fun cards with all the fish! LOVE the stenciled water on both, but they each have a distinctive and unique look! Cute fish too, especially the one you made dimensional with dual extensions! Love those pretty clouds too! Great take on the sketch with both cards, so doggoned cute!

Both of these are 'fin'tastic!! Sorry... I love the colors you used for the fish and your backgrounds are fabulous!!

I'm with you, I would much rather be in the ac making cards than sweating and getting burned!

Lynn there are fabulous - love the sketch you used as well as the perfect stamping and colouring. Certainly better to be crafting than fishing and burning to a crisp!

Both of these cards are awesome Lynn!!! I miss fishing with Dwayne too. We would go out to the lake or reservoir and fish sometimes, but mainly down at the family pond. The images you used on these are so cute. I see these cute stamps and have no idea on how to use them. lol Love the stencils you used for the waves and the embossing folder, but most of all I love your take on the sketch. Perfection!
