.....And She's Back - YAY

Yes, I'm finally back.  No, I didn't hit the beach like I wanted but still had a good trip I guess.   Seeing a bunch of relatives doesn't compare to sand and surf sometimes but it was fine.  WAYYYYY too much driving.  Now that I live in the northern (Panhandle)part of Texas, in order to go anywhere you feel like you have to drive for days and days.  After 8 hours of driving on the first leg of the trip and then 3 and a half hours on the second leg of the trip, everything on my entire body hurt.  Rambo went with me and he slept almost the entire time.  What a life!

Anyway, back to the real world.  This is a card I did before I left.  (In fact, I haven't done anything since I got back other than help move one of the granddaughters into the dorm for college.  THAT made that 11 and a half hour trip look soooooo easy!!!)

Ok.......I used a die from MFT and not sure where the sentiment came from.  The background stamp with the swirls is from SSS.  Did some quick blending with the oxide inks and it was done!

Thanks for stopping by..........
Lynn

Lynn, I love the design of this card with that fabulous background filled with circles! Wonderful color combo. I remember when I used to love to travel and thought nothing of driving 12, 15, 16 hours at a stretch. Sorry, I'm too old to enjoy much more than about 4 hours without a long break these days. Each planned trip I think about how I could be at home in the craft room. lol

Welcome back! You were missed. That is one heck of a lot of driving! Not my cup of tea these days. Sounds like Rambo did his job well. Love the card, and the whole simplicity of it.

It's always nice to visit with relatives you rarely see but you're right, it's not the beach! I really like the colors and the blending on your card and the circles add movement. A fun birthday card. It's great to see you back posting.

I'm sure that long drive was not easy, but I'm glad you got to visit relatives and had Rambo along for company and better yet- glad you're back home again. I just LOVE this festive, fun and CAS card! Great background coloring and design. Hope you can catch your breath now before the next big event comes along :)

I'm glad you had a good trip and are safely home, Lynn. Sounds grueling to drive that long! Love your blended background and the circle shapes! So perfect with the die cut YAY! Such a festive and fun birthday card! I need to CASE this for one of my big boy grandsons. I find it tough to do cards for them.

How nice Lynn, that you went to move your grand daughter to the dorm. Zeenya's dad went to move her in last year and she was holding it up against me for the longest time. Glad that the drive was easier than the move.

Your card is bright and happy and I love it. The big YAY looks fantastic. Really you are the queen of making CAS yet very attractive cards. Maybe you should host your own teaching classes.

Love,

Monica

I love the wonderful oxide background on this wonderful birthday design, Lynn!!

I don't think people realize just how big Texas is!! On the east coast they would drive through 10 states in the time it takes us to get halfway across Texas!!

So very pretty- loving your colors and the pretty swirls! Sounds like you had quite the trip! We have 15 hours to Stephi and 18 hours to see Chris, so am understanding that you were in the car for a LONG time!!! Glad Rambo did well. I hope you had a nice visit. Wow- Texas is big!

Glad to hear that your trip went well, and that you had your "bodyguarg" along with you. I'm not much of a driver at all, I hate to drive. So I'm glad that I did NOT have to do that.
Your card is so very nicely done. Like the colors and the blending that you did!
