I had to look up when sunflower season was in Texas because we seem to have them in the spring, summer, and also in the fall. It appears the season is in September and October (learn something new every day) so I'm still safe posting a sunflower card I suppose.
I used a sunflower die from Simon Says Stamp - and also a sentiment from there too. The background for the sunflower is a piece of paper done with alcohol inks from last year that I never knew what to do with after I got it done. The sunflower was colored with distress inks.
I'll enter this in the challenge at FarmQuest General Store Challenge - anything goes (sunflowers remind me of country living)
Thanks for stopping by........and keep smiling!

This is a great design. Your alcohol ink piece is beautiful and a perfect place to add the sunflower. It would be wonderful to have sunflowers for so many seasons.
Beautiful colouring on your flower and background Lynn, love the inky look and love the flower and sentiment..

I just love the alcohol inked background for that amazing sunflower! Gorgeous coloring on the flower too, and I love how the circle is off the edge of the card for a very classy look. That is one fantastic sentiment also! Great job on this card!
Fabulous card Lynn, love so much your design! That sunflower stands up so well with the offset diecut circle and that beautiful background!
Your background is a perfect match for your gorgeous sunflower Lynn, A stunning card.

That pretty background was just perfect for this sunflower, Lynn! I love the layout you used and I think sunflowers are perfect for any season!
I know sunflowers are considered fall flowers here, although I think they bloom between August and September here. But I think you are safe anytime you post sunflower cards! This one is stunning. I love the background, your sunflower is perfect on it. Love the design of this card as well. Sentiment is perfect as well. Just gorgeous! Hugs, Brenda
Lynn: Thanks for making a September delivery at FarmQuest General Store! Your sunflower focal card is cheery! Come again and there is still plenty of time to make another delivery! :) --Becca
Beautiful card and sunflower. They usually flower here late summer, would usually be too wet for them after thatx
