A Couple of Christmas Cards

Just a couple of Christmas cards completed!!

This first one is CAS using a sentiment from SU and some fun DP.   I added some silver cording and did a little scoring.

This started out as a card to enter into some sketch challenge - don't even remember which one it was but it appears it never made it where it was suppose to go.  I kept fiddling around with it and just noticed after taking the photo that the bells aren't spaced just perfect......you get the idea anyway.  I'll also sew those babies on next time.....tried to do it with glue dots and they just keep scooting around on the ribbon.

It just hasn't been very good in the card making department for me this week!

Thanks for stopping by.......
Lynn

Lynn, I think you've had a great week in card making. These two cards are super nice. I love the simplicity of your first card and that fun paper. On this second card the non traditional colors are just lovely. I always like blue and brown together. The bells look fine to me. Your background paper is so nice and delicate.

I think both are lovely. It's the little details that always adds extra interest - like the scoring in the first card and the way you did your ribbon in the second.

Lovely, Lynn! That deer is wonderful. Uneven bells? lol That just proves it's completely hand made instead of in some paper factory. :-D

This was a nice blog to see this morning. I am always looking for nice CAS Christmas cards to add to my idea file -- which is my go to file the closer it gets to the holidays and the shorter my time. These are both great ones. I like them both as they are clean and simple, but not lacking in style. Thank you for the ideas.

Ugh, those weeks are so FRUSTRATING! You make the time to craft & your fingers or supplies won't work with you. Grr. I happen to love those mini bells! Definitely when I've used them I've sewn them on loosely, because I am not a patient wait for it to dry kind of girl! Love the embossing on that card too :)
And the silver cord & subtle scoring on the first card is lovely!

Oh Lynn these are two gorgeous cards. I love the simplicity of them which makes them really "POP".
I haven't got any card making done this week either but fingers crossed I get in my craft room tomorrow.

Well, for a card that kept giving you trouble, the reindeer one is very sweet! I love the blue & brown DP and those bells are dang cute. But I can see why they would be a challenge to adhere.

As for the CAS Red & White card: "Ooooooh...Ahhhhh"
So very classy looking! Love the accent of the scored lines. So elegant.

Great cards and good for you being on the ball getting them done early. I love the top one with the candy card paper, but the bottom one is amazing, I love the bells. Thanks for the tip about sewing them though!

Both beautiful cards Lynn! I need to stop in here more often. I've been so busy trying to get crafting done for my table at a craft fair Nov. 3! I need to let the phone ring and not answer it, otherwise an hour is gone quickly!

Oh Lynn, I love the simplicity of the first one and what cool scouring. Such a CAS and classy card. The second card is lovely too. The bells don't look imperfect and wish you hadn't mentioned it at all as the card is a beauty.

Much love,
