Birthdays and Plants

My daughter has a birthday next month and thought this would be a cute card to send her.  She's always saying I spend too much time in the garden!  Little does she know I probably spend more time in the craft room though.  Our gardening season is all over now....all has been canned and put away for the winter.  Can't wait to taste some of those "fresh" veggies in a couple of months.

This is one of the Art Impression stamps from Michael's.  It was just too fun to pass up - and I'm glad I didn't.  I did a little paper piecing and coloring - and fussy cutting.  That's about it but think she'll like the card.

I'll enter this in the challenge at Art Impressions (Birthday).

I'm going to be missing in action for a few days - but will be back Tuesday.  Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Thanks for stopping by..........
Lynn

I wish my coloring looked like yours, but I'm working on it! lol That sentiment is just to dang cute and yes, I think I might have to agree with your daughter, you spend to much time in the garden!! But it will be well worth it this winter when you are eating all the fruits of your labor. I think your daughter will get a kick out of this card. Hugs, Brenda

Hysterical sentiment, Lynn! Wonderful purple polka dot paper and the paper piecing is great. Are the hose and the potted plant separate stamps? They certainly worked perfectly on this card. Love the way the hose is out of the box!

OK, I can just picture this as being you when ya'll were out tending that garden before harvest time and saying "Jim, why did we plant SO much?!". This is adorable (our Mike's doesn't have any cute AI like this!). Love the yello & purple combo too. Also the pink slides. And my fav stitched rectangle ...oh well, I just love the card! So will your DD. TFS & Hugs
