Barely There

No, we're not talking about my mind being barely there - although it appears it's that way a lot of the time.  We're talking about the bucket.  Yes, the bucket!  The challenge over at Farm Quest is to use galvanized tin, wooden items, etc.  I knew I'd have something for this challenge and yep, I had the bucket........and also the wooden crates for the flowers too!  So, here you go......

The stamp is from Stampendous and I colored it with watercolors.  The sentiment is from The Alley Way Stamps (no longer in business) and was a perfect fit for the image.   For that good old country feel we have the pickup truck, crates/baskets of flowers, the dog in the back of the truck (of course), the gingham paper - and last but not least - that little old bucket!

(You'll notice I forgot to color the grass or dirt or whatever the truck is sitting on.  Now I could delete all this, color it, take another picture, and add the new picture - but do you realize how much trouble that would be!!  So, use your imagination and pretend the ground is either grass or dirt and colored so pretty.  It is what it is!)

I'll enter this at Farm Quest Challenge Blog

Thanks for stopping by.........and keep smiling!

Lynn

The dog is going to enjoy the ride, look at his smile. Pretty card with the red and white checked paper. Great coloring and I love the green grass, wink, wink.

What a great image this is with that old truck and perfect gingham dsp! I love the dog riding in the back and especially that little bucket of flowers on the ground too! Fun card and a nod to yesteryear with that great old truck which you colored perfectly for an older model that's faded!

Lynn: Do you know about the spin-off to FQCB? I started it on Feb 7 to last for a month/March 5 for anything farm country goes theme. The next month-long AFCG theme will start March 7. It is okay to double-dip using a FQCB entry and also a FQGS entry. You have the ground stamped as part of the image - you don't need to colour every detail!! Loving this farm themed card Lynn, and the perfect sentiment!!

Such a cute image and I especially love that you were able to use both the wood cate and the galvanized items with it! The gingham papers really set it off in the country style too! I'm picturing the green grass and wishing for that over my way too!

It's perfect, Lynn. So glad to see you entering both challenges, my friend. And congrats on being one of the Top 3! BTW, if you hadn't mentioned that the ground wasn't colored, I probably wouldn't have noticed. lol

Just took a trip down memory lane. Spent several years on a farm as a child. It was a life that I never wanted to leave. You can take me out of the counrty but can't take the country out of me. Love the card in its entirety. The main parts of the card were colored perfectly. Love this card.

Love, Hugs and Blessings

Wonderful coloring on this card. I really like Stampendous stamps! Have a bunch of them myself. I felt sad when I heard at my favorite craft store that they went out of business.

Love this image, love this card Lynn! This truck, flowers, and dog take me back to a simpler time. And since I'm a country bumpkin, it's right up my alley and so my jam! LOL Love the gingham cardstock and so love the way you colored up your truck, flowers, etc...Sentiment is perfect as we all need to enjoy the ride! Hugs, Brenda
