Valentine Wishes

I usually send out about 15 Valentine cards every year - to the nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and a couple of adult family members. So get ready to see a few on my blog! This will be one for the adults this year. Very clean and simple but also pretty I think. I ATTEMPTED a little distressing - but, as always, it just appears (at least to me) that I just need a new paper cutter!!
I used some Cherry Cobbler (gotta love that color), and Very Vanilla. The image is from a set by CTMH called Soul Mates. The lace is some that I picked up not long ago at a thrift store.
This will be for the following challenges:
The Paper Players - Valentine's

Thanks for stopping by...............

Lynn

So rich and elegant, Lynn. Love the squiggly pattern in the heart stamp. And the red and white ribbon adds so much elegance and charm. Everything ties up so well.

Sorry for disappearing from the face of this earth without any notice. I got so busy with making Christmas cards for sale before I left that there was no time to do a post. Next time I promise to let you all know so that it does not make you worry.

Happy new year.

xxx Monica

Oh Lynn, this is a beauty - what a sweet Valentine's card. I feel so bad I don't send these out, I probably should, and you've sent 15! What a treasure it must be see your family members light up when receiving a Lynn original!

I think your distressing looks great, Lynn! I just love how the Cherry Cobbler really pops of the vanilla. What did we all do before that color was created? It's perfect for any occasion! The lace is the perfect compliment to your perfect bow, too. Love it! :)

You are too funny about the distressing comment!!
What paper do you use for your white embossing? It always looks SO GORGEOUS!!

That heart is beautiful and I love the lace as well!!

Another 12" - 14" of snow is expected tomorrow night! I can give you lessons in driving in the snow if you need :)

Hi Lynn
I love the affect you've achieved with this stamp, the lace and embossing. It all came out so well. The distressing? Funny! I don't think you can just distress a little. You have to just "giv'er" lol

Very pretty Lynn! Nice elegant heart and ribbons. I love the background texture!

You know what helps... with distressing I mean, sometimes (for some cardstocks) you just have to wet the paper edges a bit (with a paint brush or niji water brush) and then distress it. Try it. Do let me know what the end result was.
