Get Well Flower

The challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown this week is all about flowers - Handmade Flowers, that is.  We're being sponsored by Flourish with a Bling.  Come on over and enter for your chance to win a wonderful prize package from our sponsor.

I've used a die from MFT to make this flower for my card.  The center was done with an enamel dot and the twine looped behind the flower.  The patterned paper is a scrap that was on my desk and the sentiment from SU.  I did a little splattering with various inks.  Sorry for the poor quality of this photo but for whatever reason it just wasn't coming out the bright white that it is.  The flower did but the rest of the card just refused to cooperate!

Thanks for stopping by..........and be sure and check out the Tuesday Throwdown challenge this week.

Hi, Lynn! Just popping in to say hello! Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog yesterday! I wanted to come over and see what you've been doing. This is gorgeous! I need to learn how to do splattering like that - mine is always too heavy handed. Your die-cut flower with enamel dot is gorgeous and I love how you put the twine in behind it - you always come up with the coolest ideas! I miss my crafting and blogging/commenting so much and hope to be back soon!

Excellent Lynn. The striped paper behind that beautifully crafted daisy makes the daisy pop. The spattering on the white paper may affect how white the camera sees it. It looks great anyway. - Jim

Beautiful get well card Lynn. It would brighten anyone's day. Love your flower and the twine behind the flower. I'm impressed that it also looks like a flower. (Mine always seems to have a mind of its own.)

Beautiful Lynn! I love the splatter look - it gives such a wonderful touch to the paper creating your own homemade dsp! :)

What a marvelous white flower, Lynn! Love the spattering on the CS but really love how you looped the twine behind the flower. Terrific CAS (which you just do so well every time!) Yours always look so "polished" while mine just seem to have stopped somewhere before the "finish" line. :-D

Hi, Lynn! I have so enjoyed browsing your blog today and seeing your diverse cards. You definitely have a talent I wish for... creating very sweet, professionally assembled more simple style cards. I'm trying so desperately to do that, but I make one mistake after another, and so more "stuff" is added in order to cover up the mistakes. My favorites are this card, and your "Summer Loving" heart card published on July 17. Both are amazing, and your heart and sentiments are conveyed beautifully with your elements and colors. I hope I can learn from you! I'm your 325th google follower! hugs, de {Creative Smiles}
