Udderly Pink and the Real Thing

Things are moooooo-ving right along down this way in Texas.  The cows are getting a good feeding from all the green grass these days due to the rain we've had.  They're happy and we're happy for them.

YeeHaw and all that good stuff - but celebrating cows is something we never do......until now!  Yep, QKR has a challenge and it's all about the cows.  What could be cuter than putting a cow on a card to brighten someone's day - and especially one that looks this happy!  HA!   The image and sentiment are from QKR.  The rest of the sentiment says "milk it for all it's worth" and that's on the inside of the card.  Cute, right!   I got it all colored and wanted to add a charm........Yikes!

Going back for a minute.......a long while back I posted a card with a cow on it (HERE).   The problem came down to Jim not being able to tell if it was a pig or a cow!  So, I'm putting this card together and studying the charm (one that was sent to me by a VERY sweet blogging buddy) and trying to make sure it was truly a cow.   Along comes Jim.....He looks at it and says it looks like a DUCK to him!  Geeze!!!!   Where did I find this guy anyway!!!

And speaking of cows...........These guys came visit the other day.  They came up to the backyard fence and Rambo decided enough was enough and went wild - they were just too close for comfort so he chased them out in the field.  Yes, Jim......these are cows!

I'll enter this in the challenge at QKR (cows) and also will take Ms. Elsie here to Pixie's Crafty Workshop (snippets).

Thanks for stopping by.........and keep smiling!
Lynn

Not sure why, but I am drawn to cows. Ms. Elsie is a sweetie. As for the ones in the field, I am thinking these look more like steer. I guess everything is big in TX, just like they say.

You sure know how to make me chuckle with the antics of Jim. How did he get the charm to be a duck? A fabulous card and thanks for sharing the photo of the cows :)

Fabulous, Lynn! So glad you took my up on my personal challenge. Your write-up is hysterical. Love the black and white stripes and the pop of red. Great photo of those Texas longhorns, too. OK, now I have to put on my DT hat -- I'm downright tickled that you played in our "Cows" challenge at QKR Stampede this week. Good luck and I hope we see you playing again soon.

This image so made me smile Lynn, a fabulous card!
I have a soft spot for cow's, for some unknown reason, I really do like them, I'd be a very happy bunny if I could see them from my windows, but no such luck!

LOL, this is definitely a cow! And an adorable cow she is! Love the sentiment too! Does Jim need his eyes checked? Or maybe he just needs to look closer. Anyway, he keeps you laughing and that's a good thing! Thanks for keeping me grinning!

Your cow looks very happy, and well colored. I like your charm, even if your husband thinks it looks like a duck. I had to chuckle at that story. A couple weeks ago, I made a card with an elephant in a pink tutu. I colored her claws red, because, well, she had a pink tutu. My husband looked at the card and said, "I've never seen an elephant with red nail polish." I thought to myself, "Really? But you've seen them with pink tutus?" Men! They're so much fun to poke fun at! And your card is fun, too. Thanks for joining us this week at QKR Stampede for our Cow Challenge. Julie, DT member

I confess, I don't think I've ever put a cow on a card! But I'm loving this card, the image is brilliant and so is the design in fab red and black :-)

If we pass cows when we are out walking Dr. Hubby always stops to try to 'pet' them, so maybe I should make a cow birthday card for him!

Big hugs, Kat xx

Cute & Fun, and I LOVE the charm. This is the cutest cow I've ever seen (and normally don't think cows have a lot of charm!) But this one has Personality plus. Better get Jim's eyes checked! Enjoyed the picture of your visitors. A bit up close & personal, so I'm with Rambo. TFS & Hugs. Stay cool.

Oh, hahahahahaha! She looks very much like a cow, but then I had to go look at your cow/pig card, too. Let's just say it was a porky little cow. So cute on both counts! Love that you shared this fun card in our QKR Cow challenge!

Me thinks that Jim needs some glasses!! lol I loved your first cow card, the one that Jim thinks looks like a pig, which it doesn't. lol And I am adoring this cow card, so cute and so clever! Love the charm, which looks like a cow, not a duck! That Jim!! That head of cow are nice ones, somebody had to be missing them. You should have just taken one of them to the butcher and filled your freezer. lol They are nice ones though, so I know the owners are happy to have them back. Now did Jim realize this is what cows look like?! lol, lol Hugs to you and Jim both! Especially since we are laughing at Jim's expense. Brenda

OMG Lynn, this is a hoot! And as always, a good story to go with... I think Jim is pulling your leg about the cow looking like a duck. He has to be...
This is a fantastic image and I love, love, love it!
So sorry I haven't been by lately, I don't know where my time is going. It's very busy at work and I seem to collapse in a heap when I get home and that's the only explanation I have. I have missed so much on your blog but am going to go have a good snoop... I probably won't get to comment on them all but I am looking!

Must be one of those great horned ducks we're always hearing about! ;)

Your card is terrific and I love the way you added the COW charm!

I think Rambo might have a future as a cowdog!!
