No, I'm not having a party - just making a birthday card for a friend. I used a stamp from Art Impressions and paper pieced her dress with some CTMH paper - added some embossing, punched panel, lace, and a flower type gem. She almost reminds me of a cheerleader with that bottom pleat around her dress....so on the inside I'll put "Three cheers for your birthday"!
I'll enter this in the challenges at Art Impressions (Anything Lacy), Fetch-A-Sketch (Sketch), and over at Creative Craft Challenge2 (Monochromatic Birthday).
Short post here - not chatty today for some reason. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Thanks for stopping by..........

Under The Sea
This is my second post for the day! If you're looking for Shopping Our Stash, it's directly below.
It's time again for another wonderful {Pin}spirational Challenge!!! We're being sponsored by Michelle Perkett - and the winner of our challenge will receive a prize package!! YES! Check out our {Pin}spirational photo and then join in on the fun!
I just had to go with a mermaid image on this one and used a stamp from Penny Black. She's colored with Copics. I wonder if I'd look this good in that little outfit! Um....something we probably don't even want to think about! LOL I used two different design papers (you don't see that very often from me), added the ribbon and a starfish charm.
Isn't this photo darling! What a little cutie she is!
Thanks for stopping by.........and be sure and hop over to the {Pin}spirational Challenge and submit your creation!

A Few Of My Favorite Things
If that tittle doesn't get you singing the song, nothing will! But quit singing for a minute and come join in the challenge at Shopping Our Stash that has the theme - A Few of my Favorite Things! Yes, we want you to create a card (or project) and include your favorite things! It's that easy! Be sure and check out the blog of all the details and be inspired by the Design Team. Don't forget to use up that STASH!
A few of my favorite things..........this was so easy since everything I have to go on a card are my favorite things! LOL! But I DO love ribbon (and lace is right up there with it), pearls (even though I'm not a pearl type girl), DP (it's all so pretty), nesties, images, etc.....you name it and I love it!
This is NOT the usual type of card I create - at all......but thought I'd try it since I like all the elements on it. I used one of my favorite SU sets, Pocket Silhouettes, for the image and Watercolor Trio for the sentiment. The lace is some I found in a thrift store so long ago. I used a scalloped oval nestie and some DP from Prima. I've had this paper forever and just stare at it and never use it. The flourishes were sent to me from Carol over at Our Little Inspirations! What's not to love about those things.....so pretty and delicate!
As I said, this really isn't a "Lynn card" but still like how it turned out.
I'll be back shortly with my {Pin}spirational Challenge post..........
Thanks for stopping by.............and be sure and check out the Shopping Our Stash challenge.

Let The Sun Shine
Well, summer is finally coming to an end - at least in some places. School has started once again and the weather should be turning a little cooler.....HOPEFULLY! It's still awfully hot here - but if I can't complain about the hot weather I can always complain about the cold!
This was a very quick card I did yesterday - not much to it and am not even sure I like it, but it'll make a good note card to send to someone. It doesn't have a lot of 'oomph". I used a Hero Arts stamp and a sentiment from MFP.
Thanks for stopping by.......and I'll be back tomorrow with my Shopping Our Stash and {Pin}spirational Challenge posts. On one of these I was REALLY out of my comfort zone - but wanted to try it anyway. See you then - and have a great Monday.

A Privlege To Have A Privy
As some of you may already know, we live in the country (in other words, the sticks, boonies, whatever you want to call it). When we first moved out here one of the first things my husband said he wanted to do was to build a smokehouse for making deer jerky and smoking sausage, brisket, and wild hog, etc.... I'm telling ya, he got several eye rolls from me....but I finally just said whatever!
Several months later, after coming home from work, this is what I found sitting in the BACK YARD (minus the moon)!!! I'm SOOOOO lucky!!! LOL!
So I sat on the back patio looking at this little jewel and all I could see was an outhouse! I finally said, it NEEDED a half moon. The next day when I came home, this is what I had! It's such an eyesore but a wonderful conversation piece! LOL! The first time Jim's sister and husband came to visit we told them it was a real outhouse and they'd have to use it since we didn't have an inside bathroom. The expression on their face was priceless! If you've never used an outhouse you haven't missed a single thing - trust me on this as I know it for a fact! LOL! I will say this though - Jim has fixed some delicious slabs of meat out there.
And all of the above was just to introduce you to my card!!!
Several weeks ago I was lucky enough to win a challenge at Impression Obsession and this was one of the stamps I selected with with gift certificate. They have so many pretty stamps - and several different outhouses that are so cute I want them all! This is just your basic outhouse and thought it would be a good one to start off my collection with!
Thanks for stopping by.............and have a great weekend!

Krafty Christmas
Just a really quick post here as I'm going out of town for the day - I'll be back later and scoot around to everyone's blog to get my daily "fix" of WOW from everyone!
Thought I'd whip up a quick card for Christmas using some Crumb Cake (kraft) and this ornament. Everyone else seems to have all these pretty ornaments and the ornament punches, etc... but me.....I only have the one ornament and not the punch! LOL! So I stamped it in Real Red and cut it out. It's from SU along with the embossing folder and sentiment. I did a little stitching down the side (still working on that mess) and the card was completed.
I'll enter this in the challenge at A Blog Named Hero (Kraft).
Thanks for stopping by...........OH, almost forgot!!! I have a Fun Friday coming up this week so stay tuned!

Back to School Recycling
This is my second post for the day. Shopping Our Stash post is directly below.
{Pin}spirational Challenge # 21 is going into full swing beginning today! Yeah! Our sponsor this go round is Shelly's Images! Head on over to our blog and check out all the inspiration from the Design Team AND our wonderful inspiration photo! Enter your creation and who knows....you may be the winner of a prize package from Shelly's Images.
This was one of those cards that I knew exactly what I was going to do with it - at least in my mind. Of course when I actually got going on it, nothing was working. I seriously think I spent three days on this sucker. What can I say! We'd gotten an advertisement in the mail a week or so ago from Kohl's and it had this fun sentiment "Back To School" on it - snip, snip, snip....perfect for my upcoming card! That's where the whole break down started I think! I was was trying to build the card around this recycled bit of sentiment. Anyway, I colored the image with Copics (pretty pleased about that), embossed the red background, added a piece of Lily Bee DP punched at the top, then added the sentiment. I'll probably send this to one of the granddaughters - hey, if nothing else they can use that paper clip!
Here's our {Pin}spirational photo - does this not remind you of those past school days! Hard to believe we got our backsides in those little chairs, isn't it! LOL
Thanks for stopping by........and check out the {Pin}spirational Challenge.

Sketch It
It's time again for another Shopping Our Stash Challenge and we really have an easy theme for you this time. Pick a sketch - it can be an old one or current - create your project but be SURE and give a link to the sketch you're using! See, I told you it was an easy one! Check out our blog for all the details and see all the inspiration from the Design Team. Don't forget to use up that "stash" and let us know what you used!
My card features the In Wilderness set from SU and I used the sentiment and the image of the wolf. I haven't used either one of these in a while. The card base is done in Soft Suede and then Confetti White (kind of speckled type vanilla) - don't think I've ever used that but have a whole lot of it! The DP is from Paper Studio and I added the twine and a square brad I had. After snapping a pic of the card I realized it would have looked better if I'd added a little stitching to the blue panel or embossed it or something....but, it was done and was not going to let me un-glue it for any reason! LOL!
The sketch I used is a current one from Stampin' Royalty (love it) and so I'll enter this in their challenge.
Thanks for stopping by............and check out the Shopping Our Stash Challenge.

Mice in Love
I've been wanting to play along in the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge for so long but due to having a very limited supply of House Mouse images I hadn't been able to do so. The challenge this go round is themed Double Trouble - to use at least two meeces (or friends)......so YEAH I have a stamp I can use!
I was going to punch out the little hearts and put different DP behind them, but lining those things up correctly and then punching them is just beyond me, so I just punched them out of gingham and added them to the front. I did a little stitching on here and made the frame with a couple of SU punches. The image, Tails of Love, was colored with Prisma pencils. I used some Pretty in Pink card stock and Paper Studio DP.
I'll enter this in the challenge at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge (Double Trouble).

Slowing Down
This week has just been way too crazy for me but it's finally starting to slow down a bit! I didn't have time to even think about a Funny Friday - in fact, I didn't really have time to even consider any type of card. So, I thought I'd show you one that I'd done before life got so crazy. I finally got in my craft area yesterday and got a couple completed but wasn't able to get any photos due to a gale force wind blowing around here. When it's 100 plus weather and the wind is blowing, it does NOT cool off any either! LOL!
Nothing special.....just circles, buttons, embossing, and twine. I left off the twine on the white button to make it a little different.
Thanks for stopping by..........and hope everyone has a good weekend.

An Apple a Day
Yes, I'm back again with my second post for the day.......If you're looking for my Shopping Our Stash post, it's directly below!
It's time again for another {Pin}spirational Challenge and we have a fantastic inspiration photo for you today. We're being sponsored by The Cutting Cafe so be sure and enter you creation for a chance to win a wonderful prize package from them!
Of course when I looked at the photo, I saw apples....but you could go with so many different elements on this. For my CAS card I used an apple image from SU, a little red gingham DP, twine, button, scalloped edging and a sentiment from Hero Arts. As I said, CAS, but will make a nice "thank you" card for someone.
Isn't this photo yummy looking........makes me want fall to get here quick!

New Techniques at Shopping Our Stash
We have a FUN challenge for everyone over at Shopping Our Stash beginning today! Our theme for the challenge is to use a new technique you've never done before - just remember to use up some of your stash while doing it. Check out our blog for all the details and see the fabulous inspiration from the DT!
I'm probably not only technology challenged - but also new technique challenged as well! LOL! But, in getting in the spirit of this new technique stuff, I decide to try the Baby Wipe technique. If you've never done it before (like me) you can find the instructions on Split Coast Stampers under the Resource section.
I used a CTMH image (Flutter) that had never seen ink before and to get the colors on this, used some pink, green, and blue re-inkers. The sentiment is Loving Thoughts from SU. I also used an embossing folder that I've had for a while but never used. A CAS card but like the way that dragonfly looks with the different colors.
Thanks for stopping by.........and head on over to Shopping Our Stash and enter our challenge.

Going Downhill with Gnats
I know you're probably thinking......where in the world did she come up with a title like this for the card!
Well.......If you look REALLY close you'll see the image is a little crooked - kinda like going downhill.! Not much, but a little. Now, on to the gnats..........I stamped the image in VersaMark and then used black embossing powder and heat set it. You can really get a good black image with this stuff, however....it gets EVERYWHERE!!! I hate the stuff (but use it anyway). To get it off the places where it's not suppose to be, I shake the card stock, blow on it, and even get a very small paint brush and try to get rid of it. Before I heat embossed it, I really thought I'd taken care of all those little specks - not even! So, I stuck the tiny butterflies over some of them but you still may see a few strays - just think of them as gnats hovering around the flowers! LOL
I'll enter this in the challenge at The Perfect Sentiment (Clean and Simple Sympathy)
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend and thanks for stopping by...................

A Bird and Birthday
Quick post here as there's just too much going on in my life right now. I need to get off this crazy merry-go-round and get to crafting again!!
The first card was actually made for some challenge - and don't even remember what it was but it didn't ever get posted for some reason.! I used some red scraps and the bird punch and an embossing folder I'd never used before.
This was a quickie for a birthday using a SU image and some retired SU DP.
Not very creative AT ALL, but then again, I just haven't been feeling very creative lately.
Thanks for stopping by.........and have a good weekend.

Monochromatic for Shopping Our Stash
(This is my second post for today........My post for {Pin}spirational Challenges is directly below - a little "Girly" card!)
Our challenge beginning today at Shopping Our Stash is themed.......Monochromatic! We'd like you to use your favorite color (or even if you don't use your absolute fav, we won't tell) and create a monochromatic card for our challenge. Fun, right!! Be sure and check out Shopping Our Stash for all the details and also the wonderful inspiration from the DT.
A short story here - and I WILL keep it short! After I retired, a friend of mine introduced me to card making. I always received wonderful hand made cards from her and thought - hey, I can do that too......AND save so much money!!! I even convinced Jim of how much money I'd save making my own cards instead of buying them! Yikes!!!!! Now I just spend my time trying to convince him the UPS man really has the wrong house! Anyway, when I started all this, my friend gave me a ton of DP and card stock since she was moving on to other interests.
When I saw the theme for the challenge this week, I thought I'd make a card for Christmas and use up one of the poinsettias that I'd gotten before Christmas at the Dollar Store - now what to put with it? I remembered I had this piece of embossed paper that my friend had given me and after finally finding it, cut a single small piece as the background for the poinsettia. The paper is just gorgeous and very heavily embossed. It's a tad darker than Very Vanilla but went well with this color and the gold. I can't say that gold is my absolute favorite color (except maybe right now as all the outstanding athletes are winning gold medals) but for Christmas, I do love this color. Maybe I need to send this to Michael Phelps to go with all the gold he's won!
Thanks for stopping by...........and be sure and check out Shopping Our Stash!

Fun with Monkeys
Just a fun little card for someone that needs a lift! I never seem to have that type of card and yet need them at times. It's a little different than a "thinking of you" type card - when I think of that type of card, I always think in terms of "pretty", not fun - so this will be somewhat different. Besides that, what's NOT to love about a monkey - um....maybe the smell of one is not so great but they sure are cute little buggers! LOL!
I love these little guys and hopefully the card will cheer someone up. The image and sentiment are from Hero Arts and I'll enter this in A Blog Names Hero challenge (Freestyle) and Try Stampin on Tuesday for the sketch.

Masculine Christmas
Hope everyone is having a good weekend!
Just a quick post here featuring these beautiful horses. The image is from Impression Obsession and this will be a special Christmas card for one of the males on my list. Super CAS with some unknown DP that I've had for a long time. I stamped the image on Very Vanilla and only colored the hats, adding a some shine with my glitter pen. The silver cording is actually not round - but flat. Still not sure where that came from either. Things always have a way of just "appearing" in my craft room (at least that's the excuse I give my hubby anyway)!!
I'll enter this in the challenge at Impression Obsession (It's a Man's World) and Mark's Finest Papers (Back to Nature).
Thanks for stopping by......

Y'all Come Back
I know I'm WAY overdue on my Funny Fridays - so thought this may put a smile on your face today!
When I used this image before, it was for an invitation to a BBQ - this time I thought I'd do a card to send to everyone AFTER the BBQ telling them we enjoyed it and to come back again. Maybe I'll even wear my pink gingham dress next time! LOL! Yeah, right! You won't find me in much of anything ever unless it's shorts, jeans, or sweats - depending on the weather! That's just one of the nice things about being retired! Besides that, if I'm not mistaken the gingham makes you look a little chubbier!
Then image is from Art Impressions ( LOVE IT) and the sentiment from Kitchen Sink Stamps (also LOVE). I did some paper piecing, colored it with Copics, a little zig zag stitching, and added the bow. It's mounted on Crumb Cake but after taking a photo it just looked so blah - so I added a thin strip of the Brilliant Blue to each side. I'm still now sure why the white around the sentiment looks duller than the white on the card as it's the same paper......but no amount of fiddling with the shadows, etc. helped - so - again, what you see is what you get!
I'll enter this is the challenge at Art Impressions (Stitching or Fabric).
Thanks for stopping by..........and y'all come back now, you hear!

Eyelets Galore
I belong to a group over at SCS called Stamp Addicts and last week we were discussing (and cussing) things that we have in our stash that we never use and probably need to purge. One of the things everyone agreed on that could go was eyelets! We ALL have them - and and never use them. So, we decided to see what kind of creations we could come up with.
I got this idea in my head and it was just going to be OH SO WONDERFUL! LOL! I made my card (the one below) and after finishing it realized that the eyelets weren't evenly spaced - and then to top it off, I stamped "Smile" a little crooked (feature that!).
Ok, back to the drawing board. I got all the holes marked and started pounding away (Note here....I don't have one of those chomper things so have to use my little tool and hammer! Jim thought I was adding an addition to my craft room!! LOL). I decided to do a straight line instead of a curved one on this and I was scooting along so good, getting them fairly lined up right - had four more to go - on a roll here.........and then added that green eyelet to the WRONG SIDE!! I started laughing and just could not quit! So, I added the other green one on the arrow wrong too and decided that the "Giggle" sentiment was very appropriate.
I'm STILL laughing about these cards but if nothing else though it was a fun way to get rid of some of that blasted eyelets! LOL
