Let The Sun Shine

Well, summer is finally coming to an end - at least in some places.  School has started once again and the weather should be turning a little cooler.....HOPEFULLY!  It's still awfully hot here - but if I can't complain about the hot weather I can always complain about the cold!

This was a very quick card I did yesterday - not much to it and am not even sure I like it, but it'll make a good note card to send to someone.   It doesn't have a lot of 'oomph".   I used a Hero Arts stamp and a sentiment from MFP.

Thanks for stopping by.......and I'll be back tomorrow with my Shopping Our Stash and {Pin}spirational Challenge posts.  On one of these I was REALLY out of my comfort zone - but wanted to try it anyway.  See you then - and have a great Monday.

I think your card is very striking! The sunflower is colored perfectly! Great sentiment!!

Hi Lynn, the sentiment on this card has enough oomph and frankly with sunflowers, one doesn't need much. They speak on their own, you know, so sunny is their appearance. Your card is lovely. Sometimes we need just a card like this. It will come in handy for sure.

Love,
Monica

Lynn, I'm sure I like it. It has just the right amount of oomph for me. I love the flower and your wood grain looking paper in the background. As always, I'll be looking forward to your upcoming posts. You do provide me with a bunch of inspiration no matter which style card you showcase. Enjoy your day.

Nothing says sunshine like a sunflower! I love how it's against a weathered background. Makes me think of an old barn with a garden of sunflowers beside it.

It may have been quick but I think it is quite striking. I love sunflowers and your card really lets this pretty flower shine.

Love the crackle background for the sunflower, Lynn, and that's saying a lot since I don't like crackle on much of anything! lol Love your coloring on the flower. I think the card has lots going for it. Clean, bright, bold, and wonderfully simple. What else is there?

I love the crackly panel - and the sunflower pops right off! I'll join you with the weather woes - I can't wait for the cooler fall weather, but I know I'll end up grumping about winter too ;)

I love how the flower pops as the focal point. I think I have this stamp but have yet to use it. Thanks for the inspiration!

I love it!!! CAS, perfection. The flower just pops of the card and love the background you used on it. It is still warm here and looking at near 100 this weekend, but I guess I would rather have that then -20 :)

Love it Lynn - the sunflower really pops against the soft b/g, and the wee bow id bakers twine is a sweet foil to the flower.
