Fat Santa

It's a well know fact that Santa is overweight - yes, he's fat!  There's a good reason for this though.  I mean stop and think about it for a minute.......if you lived on the North Pole in all that frigid air, you'd certainly want a little extra meat on your bones too!   If he's not worried about a little chunk-iness, I'm sure not going to say a word!  I need all the extra help at Christmas I can get and don't want him mad at me for sure!!

This is very CAS but I seem to be racing like a mad woman trying to get all my Christmas cards completed, addressed, and mailed - before Christmas!  Mr. Santa and the sentiment are from Paper Smooches.  The tiny heart is from a die, the Polaroid frame from Lil Inkers, and DP from SU.  I colored this dude in Copics and then added some Modge Podge Dimensional Magic to his cuffs, hat, and glasses.  I sprinkled a little glitter on top of the cuffs and hat.  One thing nice about the Magic is that it gives the look of Glossy Accents but doesn't cover up anything underneath (like you can still see the pupils of his eyes).

I'll enter this in the challenge at Paper Smooches Sparks (see inspiration photo), at Drunker Stampers (Santa), and Totally Gorjuss (anything with Santa).

Thanks for stopping by...............
Lynn

Oh, your Santa is just so cute....overweight or not. I thought at first you had red, crimped paper on your card but it is the striped dp. It gave me an idea. If I can get another card made, maybe I'll use that flash bulb idea. Ha. I have a big, fat snowman I want to do.

Uh, oh, I don't want to worry you, but I have it on good authority that Mrs. Claus reads your blog! And just for future reference, Mr. Claus prefers that people think of him as height-challenged, rather than, um, that other word! Another happy, happy card, Lynn, which I love, love!! Hugs, Darnell

It is CAS and that is what makes it shine, Lynn. I like this fat Santa. And all the red brings with it the spirit of the season. I LOVE all your cards, simple or not, they are super.

He is a cute as he is square! What an adorable jolly ol' man! Love the red/white. In case you are wondering...yes the Modge Podge Dimensional Magic got added to my Christmas wish list. I have looked and looked and looked at the Polaroid die frame and haven't moved it from the 'maybe' to definite' wish list. Seeing it here...getting closer and closer to a DEFINITE! Take time in your 'mad woman racing' to enjoy a cup of tea and all that glitters! Merry Christmas dear lady!

He's an adorable, fat. little Santa, Lynn! I've just been told that I'm definitely on the "good girls" list because even when I'm bad -- I'm goood! lol I have had my cards done for several days now, but I can't seem to find the time to get them addressed, stamped, and mailed so many are going to be late, including yours! :-D

Oh Ho Ho Ho! Santa wouldn't be Santa without a little extra something to cuddle, now would he? Liked all your logic about the weight too. Might borrow that myself! He's adorable, and loved the colors & that stripe-y Dp was perfect for Santa. This Modge Podge product is new to me so will be checking that out. It did add some nice glitzy sparkle. This is really a totally cute card. Still working on inserts round here, hope to get to the Post Office this afternoon to check the postage. They will love me, having to weigh each card! TFS & Hugs.

I guess I'm in good company than for being so late sending out cards. I'm aiming for Monday. Let's hope. My kids already asked why they haven't gotten their cards yet. I'm usually much earlier than this. Oh Well. You chunky Santa is cute and I like the way your placed your papers on this card. That white bow is an ideal little touch. I'm not sure which list I made. I'm trying for the nice list, but you never know with me. LOL Enjoy the evening.

Now how could Santa be anything but plump when he spends an entire night eating cookies as he delivers our goodies?!

Adorably sweet card and I love the polaroid frame!
