Tagging Along

I never make tags much except at Christmas and even then I'm more inclined to just slap one of those store bought sticker tags on the bottom of the present where it already has the "to" and "from" and let it go at that.  I'm in need of Christmas cards more than tags right now anyway- so I made a tag and just put it on a card.  Worked out pretty good.

The tag itself is a vanilla color that I embossed with a SU embossing folder.  I stamped the sentiment (SU) on it and then added a tiny strip of green card stock.  The baby poinsettias were done with the Small Poinsettia die from Poppy Stamps.  I shined them up with the Wink of Stella Pen and added a tiny pearl to the center.  The lace matches the color of the tag.  This was all mounted on a piece of Real Red card stock. Another Christmas card completed!  Christmas isn't that far off now.

Thanks for stopping by...........
Lynn

Lynn, what a gorgeous tag card. I love those little poinsettias and the embossing on the tag. I'm like you and don't get many and sometimes no tags made for Christmas...just store bought. Maybe that would be something to make all year long so I would have them come Christmas.

Oh so pretty. That Very Vanilla goes so well with the Real Red. I really like those poinsettias and that Wink of Stella works nicely on the red. I thought I was the only one to slap a tag on the back of gifts. I'm glad to see that I'm not. GMTA! Well, my friend, have a great day.

So pretty. Great use of a tag. I hear ya' I'm all in for the to/from tags which get tossed! Again you sent me scrambling to amazon to look up Wink of Stella!!! I learn something new from you all the time. I learn about things to add to my Amazon wish list! Fabulous card - very striking!

I had to come back after I saw your comment on my card. Shhhhhh....don't talk about that football game. We are both devastated I imagine. I know I am. What a heart break.

Wow, You hit it outta the ballpark with this one. I'm hearing you on the tags. But this beautiful one is stunning on your red card base. Great idea to emboss the tag - added great dimension, and I'm loving your tiny poinsettias. Stunning. TFS & Hugs

I think you should try a few more tags, Lynn! This is really well-designed in every way! I agree with you about putting them on cards as a better option. It seems a bit more worth all the work than knowing they will just get glanced at and swept up in the rubbish when opening presents! On a card, it can be displayed and maybe even kept or recycled. Love it! Hugs, Darnell

You read my mind! I rarely make Christmas tags either - can't bear to spend that time on them when they'll get lost in the unwrapping :)
I love the scored details, and those poinsettias are stunning!!
