This is my second post this morning! My Shopping Our Stash Challenge post is directly below this one. Spreading a little LOVE on that post - check it out!
It's time again for a {Pin}spirational Challenge! Our sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear and you could win a wonderful prize package from them - so be sure and enter your creation in our challenge.
I love the {Pin}spirational photo we have this week and as soon as I saw it I knew I'd be using a free digital image I got not long ago from Beyond the Fringe. The sentiment is an old one from CTMH and it fit the image so well. Pretty self explanatory here - I used some SU DP, Kraft, Cajun Craze, and Chocolate Chip card stock, Baker's twine, and did a little embossing and sponging. This will make a good masculine birthday card I think.
.....and here's our {Pin}spirational photo for you this week..........
Thanks for stopping by................and head on over to the {Pin}spirational Challenge.

What Was I Thinking!!
I'm back with another Shopping Our Stash challenge - and our theme this week is titled: WHAT WAS I THINKING! We're talking about one of those things (stamp, embellishment, die, whatever) that you just HAD to have - but it was SO not you - and you got it anyway! I just imagine we all have things in our stash like this! I know I do. Find that item in your stash and then enter our challenge!! Be sure and check out our blog and see all the wonderful creations by the DT - and what was "so not them"!
When I saw the Doily Die in the SU catalog last year, I thought to myself....I don't need that! However, after seeing so many beautiful cards with this die, I just HAD to have it! What was I thinking!!!!!
I know I spent at least three hours trying to get this baby cut out! I have a Cuddlebug and I used every kind of sandwich known to mankind. After "googling" it and looking up about ten different possibilities, I finally hit on one that "sorta" worked! I don't know if I'll ever use this die again as it just does not want to cut out all those little holes! Has anyone else had problems with this thing?
Anyway, I got it cut out and only used one half of it, added some pearls, embossed a couple of circles and heart, popped it up, and then added another pearl to the heart. The sentiment is a very old one from SU that I haven 't used in forever.
I'll enter this in the challenges at Card Crafter's Circle (CAS) and Emergency Crafter's Challenge (Circles).
(Stay tuned for my {Pin}spirational Challenge post that will be coming up later this morning)

A Field of Flowers
Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I'll probably be pretty well worthless for the next few days - the Olympics started yesterday and I'm one of those that will watch any and all of it! It's just amazing to watch some of the things these athletes can do.
I used Field of Flowers (SU) for my card today. I know I ended up changing, revising, re-stamping, and everything else at least three or four times on this one - but finally got it like I wanted. The flowers were stamped twice, cut out, and popped up on top of each other. I also extended the stem so it would show under the punch I recently purchased. I added a couple of butterflies, pearls, and embossing on the white background.

Black and White - Or White and Black
Just a real quick super simple, CAS, and git 'er done card! I'm trying to see if I can possibly use up at least half of the ribbon I have before I die - but don't know if that would ever happen since I have a tendency to buy more! Yikes!
Anyone have an idea for a good (funny) sentiment to go on the inside of this card??

{Pin}spirational Challenge #17
(If you're looking for my Shopping Our Stash post, it's directly below this one - It's sure to get you in the mood for Christmas!!!)
Today begins another challenge at {Pin}spirational Challenges! We'd love to have you come join us and who knows, you may even be our winner for the week and receive a prize package from our sponsor A Day for Daisies!!!
Stop by our blog and look at all the inspiration from the DT.
After looking at the inspiration photo, I saw oranges and chevrons! I started to make some chevron looking things on the card and then remember I had this perfect paper instead.....so being my lazy self, decided to use this! The image is an old one from SU and the sentiment from Stampendous. This will be a cute card to send to a young person I think.
Isn't this a dreamy bedroom!!!!
Thanks for stopping by.......and be sure and check out our {Pin}spirational Challenges!

Something New
The challenge at Shopping Our Stash is themed - Use Something New - Something you had to have but have not used as yet! I think we all have stuff in our stash like this - you know, one of those things you couldn't live without....and then never did anything with it! Be sure and check out all the inspiration from the DT and see what they used that was "new" too!
I used a Repeat Impressions image - these little snowmen are just way too cute all lined up like that. They make me so happy and glad that Christmas is right around the corner! I also used some ric-rack on here that had been growing mold in my stash....did a little embossing, added some glitter, punched out some snowflakes, added bling, and the card was completed!
Thanks for stopping by........and be sure and check out Shopping Our Stash and enter your creation.

Shake Your Booty
This fun little image was a freebie over at the Outlawz and it's going to be just perfect for some of these granddaughters I have that are ages 12 through 14 that are going on 20! I colored her with Copics (still don't get how everyone does the hair on this images where it looks so good - but am working on it) and used several pieces of different DP. The big flower and brad just sorta needed to go on a girly type card - along withe the bling too.
The sketch I used is from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #163 and I'll enter this is their challenge.
If I haven't stopped by your blog in the last few days - I will. We've been out of town and I was just too tired to go visit everyone yesterday........not to worry though as I will be back around to see everyone's wonderful creations!

Horse
(How do you like the original title of this post! LOL)
This is another stamp that I don't know what company it's from! So, once again, please comment if you know. I won this image in some blog candy so long ago and am just now using it. A very simple card but think it's going to be good for a guy. It's a great image of a horse and I was not even about to attempt to color it - I think all horses everywhere would have rebelled at my coloring (LOL!) - so left it as is!
I'll enter this in the challenge at Mark's Finest Papers Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge #116 (Masculine Birthday).
Thanks for stopping by.............I'll be missing in action for a couple of days but will be back!

A Lot of Dots
A little beach-y card today! I'm not sure who makes this cute stamp (if you have any idea, please let me know) as it was given to me quite a while back and there's no name on the wooden block. I love this little gals hair - sorta looks like mine on some days.
The blue polka dot DP is some that's now retired from SU and the yellow gingham strips just appeared in all my papers from somewhere. I embossed the white with the Spots and Dots folder and added some Glossy Accents to the dots on the little dragon floaty. The ribbon - ah, I've been looking forever for some yellow gingham type ribbon and just couldn't find any - so Carol (Our Little Inspirations) was so nice and sent me some! Thanks again, Carol.
I followed the sketch from Sweet Stop Sketches and will enter it their challenge. I'll also enter it in the challenge at Top Tip Tuesday (It's all about Circles).

{Pin}spirational Love
(This is my second post for the day - if you're looking for my Shopping Our Stash post, it's directly below)
If you haven't checked out our challenge at {Pin}spiration, do so this week as we have another wonderful {Pin}spirational photo. Our sponsor this week is Crafty Sentiments and you could win a prize package from them. Come on over and join in on the fun!
This poor old card was more of an accident than anything else. I pretty much knew what I wanted to do...very CAS and a little stitching around the border. First card....no stitching...needed something. Second card....straight line stitching....so bad and not straight. Ok, I'm running out of DP now...but... Third card...did the crazy stitching....finished it....looks good...take it out of the sewing machine...and the pressure foot caught on something and ripped the paper a little at the top!! This is SO not good. Solution - I did a tiny bit of distressing on the pink to cover up the rip! Geez.........What's really sad is that it's just a very easy card to do!! LOL! By the time I finished the card, I felt like the sign this young couple is holding - FINALLY!!!
Isn't this inspiration photo sweet!
Be sure and check out all the {Pin}spirational Challenge creations by the DT and a guarantee you'll be inspired. Enter your creation and have some fun with us.

Precious Paper
The theme of our challenge at Shopping Our Stash is MY PRECIOUS! Now, you may ask what we mean by that - well......for our challenge this week we'd like for you to use something you've hoarded that you've NEVER planned to actually use! Maybe this is a piece of paper (like mine), a special embellishment, a piece of ribbon, or that gorgeous piece of lace you love looking at but don't want to use! Whatever it is that you have in your stash, come on and use it and enter our challenge!
I used this piece of paper I won in some blog candy from Linda. It comes from a paper pack from Crafty Individuals (Trees). I really hated to add anything to it, but went with a flower I punched out and sprayed with some Glimmer Mist to give it a little shine and and a Thinking of You sentiment - along with a scrap of lavender ribbon. I'll be sending this to a very special lady that just turned 89 years old last week - and of course I missed her birthday!
Come on over and enter out challenge at Shopping Our Stash - and be sure and check out all the fabulous creations from the Design Team.
Thanks for stopping by............and I'll be back in a minute with my post for {Pin}spirational Challenges.

Fall in July
We're in the middle of summer around here in Texas and VERY HOT - so thought I'd whip out a easy Fall-ish card. I mean it seems that so many of the challenges right now are Christmas in July - so how about a Fall in July!
Last year a very dear friend of mine gave me several garbage sacks chock full of old SU sets - and other stamps and misc. items. I'm weeding my way though some of them - very slowly though. This image is from a set from 2001 called Thank You Blocks and the sentiment is from CTMH Autumn Splendor. I also used some of my favorite fall ribbon on it! Love that stuff.....but I'm just crazy for any type of plaid. You can't really see it in the photo, but it was done on some textured white card stock. Can't seem to get that to photograph right - but it really makes it pretty in real life.
I decided to do this again (hey, I'll have TWO fall cards now). On this one I ditched the ribbon and bow and used Versa Mark on the image with clear embossing powder and then sponged them with Old Olive, Cajun Craze, and Pumpkin Pie. I love that ribbon - but kinda like it with no ribbon and bow too.
Thanks for stopping by.........and I'll be back tomorrow with a couple of challenge cards (Shopping Our Stash and {Pin}spirational Challenges)!

Weight and Age
Hope no one is offended by this.......
I always thought that when a person got older, they got skinny - you know, kinda shriveled up and all that. Well, as I get a little older I find that's not the case - and it seems like everyone around me is packing on the pounds. For a female, it's probably due to sitting around all day long either playing on the computer or in the craft room attempting to be creative! For the men ---- probably due to TV, just plain laziness, or because they all think they can do what they did 30 years ago, but then when they find out they can't, they just get depressed and eat! LOL!
The image I used was a freebie from Marlene (remember funny Marlene - oh I miss her!). Anyway, here's the card - inside and out!
Thanks for stopping by...............and remember to KEEP SMILING!

Trucking Along
Thought I'd share a quick birthday card using the sketch from Simply Stampin Challenge The image is from Countryside (SU) and sentiment from Watercolor Trio (also SU). Pretty CAS as I feel guys just don't like a lot of foo-foo on their cards. I DID color the truck this time (ugh!)......last time I think I just colored the apples but decided to give it a go on coloring this time. Yikes - a lot more practice is needed I'm afraid! I colored it with Prisma's - and it's a little like a work of art - if you stand really far back from it, it actually looks pretty good! LOL!
I'll enter this in the challenges at not only Simply Stampin Challenge for the sketch, but also Cards For Men (Happy Birthday) and Creative Mondays (cards for men).
Thanks for stopping by.............and yes, I know I'm WAY overdue for a Funny Friday - so stay tuned and I'll be back in the morning with that!!!

{Pin}spirational Challenge #15
It's time again for another {Pin}spirational Challenge!!! Look at our inspiration photo and enter your creation....we'd LOVE to have you! We're sponsored this week by Doodle Dragon who will have a very nice prize for one lucky winner! Stop by the blog and check out all great cards by the DT and then show us your creation!
I colored this image in Copics and SU markers and added glitter to her wings. The DP I used is from Basic Gray and also used some green (gasp) textured card stock. I haven't used green on a card in SO LONG! The die cut butterfly (from Cherry Lynn Designs) was sent to me by Connie (Grammy's Attic). She sent me a whole envelope of these little guys and I just loved them. So, what's a girl to do - go order the die, Lynn.......which I did! Thanks again, Connie.
I really don't have but a couple of fairy images but of course when I looked at the {pin}spirational photo, all I could see were fairies! Cute picture, isn't it!
If your looking for my Shopping Our Stash post, it's directly below this one!!!!

Shopping Our Stash #59
BIG NEWS!!!!! Shopping Our Stash is having a Design Team call! Check the BLOG to get all the details for the DT call. Our DT is very laid back and a lot of fun - so throw your name in the hat and apply!
Now, on to our challenge for this week........More than One Fold - or - Pleats! Another fun challenge and you'll also want to check out all the inspiration from the DT on our blog. Lots of different directions you could go on this one and we'd love to have you enter! Remember to use some of that forgotten stash!
I made something I know I probably hadn't made in over a year.....a little tote bag! For a while there it seemed like I was making these things daily - and even made like 15 or 20 of them for favors for one of the granddaughter's birthdays! Anyway, I decided to drag out my pattern (that I have no idea where it came from) and make another one. I swear everything on this is old - design papers, flowers, brads, ribbon, and chipboard letters! The wooden flower for the "o" was won in some blog candy. I painted the chipboard letters and wooden flower with white acrylic. Makes a cute little bag and I'm sure I'll find something to go in it. I do believe I have more than one fold!!!
My {Pin}spirational challenge post will immediately follow this post................

On The Bandwagon
It seems everyone is making cards for Christmas right now! I thought I might as well jump on the bandwagon and get going on a few too.
This is a very simple card using some textured white and gold card stock. The image and sentiment are from Snow Swirled and one of my all time favorites. I heat embossed the tree and sentiment in gold and then added a few small pearls. The ribbon (although it looks brown in the photo) is also gold. This was NOT what I started off to do I'm afraid. I had the entire card pictured in my mind - which is very rare - and was going to add a small bow with some gold cord in the corner. I got the card completed and realized I had no gold cord!! I have three rolls of silver, but no gold could be found - so I used the ribbon instead.
I'll enter this in the challenge at Less is More (Gold) and 2 Sisters Challenge (Christmas in July with Bonus of no red or green).
Thanks for stopping by...............I'll be back in the morning with my Shopping Our Stash and {Pin{spirational posts - so be sure and check back them.

Biking
I used these colors so I could enter it in the challenge at Pals Paper Arts......Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler, and Early Espresso (I didn't have the Early Espresso so used Chocolate Chip instead). I'm awful at color challenges so keep trying to challenge myself on these in hopes of getting better. Not sure I would have ever thought of this color combo, but I like the brightness of it.
All the products used for this card are from SU - Card stock, Beautiful Wings butterfly die, SU punch, So Saffron Ribbon, markers, and Square Lattice embossing folder. The image is one of the stamps from Summer Afternoon. Those are actual yellow flowers in the basket, but for some reason look green in the photo.
The sketch is from Create with Connie and Mary and I"ll also enter it in their challenge.. Cute sketch too!
Thanks for stopping by...........and hope everyone is having a great weekend.

A Little Mimi
Since my grandchildren call me Mimi, I figured I'd better get this clear stamp set called Mimi in Paris from Penny Black. There are so many cute images in the set but thought I'd start off with this cutie drinking a cup of tea/coffee. Next time I use this image I may have to make an awning or something to make it seem like she's in an outdoor type cafe! Don't you just love finishing up a card and then figuring out what should have done different! LOL!
Nothing fancy here but I did a bit of masking to get the Eiffel Tower in the background and I paper pieced the hat - or is it called a beret! That metal tag that says "hello" has been in my embellishment box forever and don't know why I've never used it. The flowers were made with a SU punch and a small brad placed in the center.
I'll enter this in the challenges at Penny Black Saturday Challenge (Hot Metal), Mark's Finest Papers (Use Metal), and Try Stamping on Tuesday (Sketch).

Yes, I'm back again with another post for today! And the reason is because we have another FUN inspiration photo from {Pin}spirational Challenges and would love for you to come on over and enter. You have a chance to WIN. Our sponsor is Di's Digis!
Since tomorrow is the 4th of July, I saw only red, white, and blue after looking at the inspiration photo. I actually saw some yellow in it too - and of course the little sail boats, clouds, etc....so you could do several different things with this inspiration photo. I used my brand new stamp The Open Sea from SU. The stars at the bottom are actually just a strip of DP that I had in my stash.
The ribbon......I'm not even sure where this came from or why I've never used it before. It's amazing what you can find when you clean up the craft room! Getting that stuff to stick in a pleat like that is just not happening with me!! I tried the red sticky tape first - oops, popped up.....ok, tried the glue dots....same thing.
The only solution I could come up with was SUPER GLUE!! LOL! Now I just have to tell you, I love that stuff! Hubby can have his duct tape but I'll take super glue any day of the week! But here's what happened:
Lynn: Jim, I'm stuck to my craft table
Jim: I know, dear
Lynn: No, I'm really STUCK in here
Jim: YES, I KNOW - but you love it so much
Lynn: (several unprintable words.......) Get your butt in here and help me!
Yes, my fingers stuck to the table and I was afraid to pull them off and leave all the skin behind! Next time I won't be so lazy and I'll get out the glue gun!
Here's the cute photo for your inspiration!
I'll enter this in the challenges at Love to Create (stars and stripes), Card Making Mamas (red, white, and blue), Craft Punked (American Independence Day), Stamping with the Dragon (red, white, and blue), and Incy Wincy Designs (patriotism - colors from your country).
Thanks for stopping by........and be sure and hop on over to the {Pin}spirational Challenge blog!

Another SOS Challenge
Yep, it's time again for another challenge from Shopping Our Stash! Remember to dig into your "stash" and then enter our challenge. The DT has some lovelies for you to feast your eyes on today too so be sure and stop by our blog!
The Theme!!! Ah, we have a good one this time - so no excuse not to enter! Triple Threat or Triple Treat (however you may want to look at it) - use any three of the following: Ribbon, flowers, lace, pearls, glimmer mist, punched element or die cut treatments, rhinestones, doilies, dry or heat emboss, or scoring - OR, use three of one type of embellishment! Be sure and check out the blog!
I know everyone is groaning out there - but yes, I used more Baja Breeze on my card! It was sitting on my desk already so why not use it, right! The stamp set I used is called Strength and Hope and although I may have used the butterfly image before, I've never used the sentiment (words) that comes with it. I also used some Baja Breeze DP that was in my stash along with those big pearls. A little dry embossing was done and I stamped the butterfly twice and popped it up a little (and even fluffed it's wings out)!
I'll enter this in the challenge at Dream Valley Challenges (things with wings).
If you're looking for my {Pin}spirational challenge card, it's coming up later this morning so be sure and check back - and think red, white, and blue - and a short humorous story too!
Thanks for stopping by...........and check our the Shopping Our Stash challenge for the week.

CAS Lighthouse
A very quick card AND post! I've always been fascinated with lighthouses and when I found this stamp from Stampabilities I grabbed it. I've never seen a lighthouse except in pictures but for some reason I'm drawn to them. I'm really not liking the ribbon on here but tried using Baker's twine and that was just looking tacky - tried some regular type twine/string stuff - and it looked even worse. SO, ribbon is what you get. Actually I think maybe it'd just look better with a sentiment at the bottom. As I said, CAS - but hey, it did take a while to color so that counts for something I'm sure!!
Thanks for stopping by............and I'll be back tomorrow with my Shopping Our Stash and {Pin}spirational challenge posts!
