An Award of Love

Monica, over at Handmade Cards With Love, passed this lovely Blog Award on to me! She is a sweetheart for doing this and she makes the most wonderful creations. Be sure and check out her blog.

What I'm suppose to do is to pass this on to three or five other blogs. Usually when I receive one of these I just pass it on to everyone - mainly because everyones blog is so special to me and I love them all! But I'll go ahead this time and pass it to three - very different blogs from three different ladies!

Babette - Babette's blog is called Sincerely, Babette - she mainly creates projects. And all of them are just fabulous. I don't usually think "outside the box" and stick with card making so it's a real treat for me to see different projects - Check out her blog and see what I'm talking about.

Maria - Maria's blog is called Crafty Creations - and she is just very crafty AND creative. She makes all these fantastic cards and just gives me so much inspiration. You'll be pleased with everything you see there and she's a sweetheart for sure - So head on over to Maria's blog.

Mary - Mary calls her blog Southern Moments - don't you just love the name of that one. She does mainly scrapbook pages that are just gorgeous and amazing! I don't scrapbook at all (maybe someday) so I'm always just drooling after leaving her blog. Don't forget and check this out.

So those are three very different blogs and all are wonderful.

Stylish Blog Award

Well, no one has EVER accused me of having style - but since I received this sweet, sweet, Blog Award from Monica, I guess you'll just have to say - I Got Style!!! This is the second Blog Award I've received from Monica - how terrific is that!!!! Love it Monica. Be sure and check out her BLOG as she makes such sensational cards.

I think I'm suppose to give eight facts about myself........

1. I'm older than dirt - but still kicking (just not as high anymore)

2. I have two granddaughters and my husband has six (alot of happy feet running around when they're all here at the same time) Plus, my son and his wife will be having a baby in February

3. We have a little doxie named Rambo - who RULES this household

4. I used to be a sailing, canoe, and swimming instructor - and no, I was NOT the bikini type (although I'm sure I would have looked stunning in one)

5. I retired as a Pre Trial Release Probation Officer after 24 years. I knew it was time to retire when the defendants kept getting younger and I kept getting older. One of my last "clients" said his goal in life was to become a Rock Star - time for me to retire!

6. I started making cards because I thought I could save money making my own!!! Yikes

7. I live in an extremely small town in Texas but love it.

8. I enjoy making crafts and blogging and would not trade anything for the blogging buddies I've made. They are all very special.

Thanks to Kathy over at the Lucky Stamper for this fabulous award!!!!! I was so surprised. How very sweet - no pun intended with the yummy looking cupcakes in the picture!

Anyway, what I'm suppose to do is list three things I love about myself.....so here goes:

1. I love being pretty much healthy (knock on wood)

2. I love being retired - there's not a lot of money involved in that, but I don't guess you can't have everything!

3. I love the fact that I'm at least half way creative - not often, but at least some of the time.

The next thing I'm suppose to do is to pass this on to five others. There is just NO WAY I can do that. I try to check blogs every day and I just see so many wonderful creative ladies. I see people that are working and/or have young children and often wonder - How in the world do you have time to be so creative!!! It's just amazing to me. So I will be passing this on to ALL of you fabulous ladies out there - each and every one of you are just so special.

Oh, I'm also suppose to show a picture of something I love........I was going to post a picture of my "Getaway", but don't have one right now.....will have to post that later. My "Getaway" is some property we own close to Austin. On the property is a small house overlooking a pond. So peaceful! No television, no phone (except cell for emergency), nice little front porch swing...well you get the picture. I'll post that later.
