Black and White Reversed

When I saw the Alphabet Challenge a couple of days ago it jogged my memory as far as not having done a black and white card in a while.  Instead of doing one though I figured I might as well do two while I was at it - and sorta reverse some of the black and white.  The flower die is from Memory Box and the sentiments are from Simon Says Stamp.  Oh, and if you stare at the second card long enough with that checkered patterned paper you may start getting dizzy.   I'll enter this first card in the black and white Alphabet Challenge.

Simply White

Just a little flower (Lawn Fawn), a few die cuts, a sentiment, and lots of white.  What else can I say other than this is a really, really short post............You didn't have to listen to any of my bull today!

I'll enter this in the challenge at Less Is More (Anything Goes)

Lavender.....Purple

I assume this is lavender anyway.  It's purple - although I could have colored it pink I guess.  We'll go with lavender though.  I had this image all printed, colored, and die cut and then it sat...and it sat, and sat, and sat.  I've tried at least 10 different things with this and patterned paper, solid card stock, embossing, and whatever else I could think of and it just wasn't gelling at all.  I even dug out the texture paste - and of course it was all dried up.  Figures.  So.......here you go with another very clean and simple card.

.....and while I'm on the subject of flowers.  It's starting to get a little warmer in this part of Texas and my pansies are finally looking a little like someone probably stepped on them.  They're still hanging in there for now though and I just had to snap a picture before it was too hot and they all died......

......and last but not least.  (I know you're getting tired of reading this)  This part of Texas is not only warming up but it's also dry.  Bone dry!  The last couple of months we've had winds like you can't even image.  Combine the wind and the dry weather and that equals tumbleweeds around here....thousands of them - to the point where they had drop off points around town and you could haul your tumbleweeds there and they'd dispose of them.   These are some that got stuck between two homes here in town (thankfully it wasn't ours)!

That's it and yes, I realize you really ARE tired of reading now............so......

I'll enter this in the challenge at Crafty Calendar (die cuts) and Inkspirational (clean and simple)

A Little Note

Just a little note for today...........

I was recently given this wonderful outline die as a special gift from a special person.   The tiny mice are from the Newton's Nook Garden Mice stamp set and fit in the die perfect!  The mice are colored in Copics, cut out with dies, popped up, and then I stamped some watercolor grass to sorta ground them.  A bit of cloud sponging was done once again and then some tiny enamel hearts added under the sentiment.

I'll enter this in the challenge at Sweet Stampin' (use dies and/or punches), Crafty Calendar (use die cuts), and Pammie's Inky Pinkies (anything goes)

Hope everyone is having a great day.

One Last Wabbit

One last Wabbit before Easter.  Whether you celebrate Easter or not, I hope you have a great day.

This Wabbit is from Gerda Steiner Designs and he's such a cutie.   I love all his little eggs lined up beside him.  CAS card using a die from My Favorite Things, colored in Copics, a few clouds sponged in the background,  and mounted on a piece of patterned paper.

Have a nice Easter and a nice weekend.

A Couple of Rabbits

Gosh, here it is April and almost Easter already.  Not sure where all the time goes......but it's going.  It won't be too much longer and we'll be sitting here making cards for Christmas.

The rabbit is a wood mounted stamp that I've had forever from Inkydinkydo.  It's so old the rubber has come off the block and I have it in a little clear plastic sleeve to keep it together.  It's one of those stamps that's so easy to use, minimal coloring, and cute.  I probably paid a dollar for it at Michaels or somewhere like that but still like using it for cards and especially at Easter.   I just paired these with some paper scraps  from maybe My Favorite Things,    Git 'er done cards.

Thanks for stopping by.....and keep smiling.......
