Sunning.....

Another week gone by - or wait a minute.......it's only Wednesday!  Ok, another half week gone by.  With all this stay at home fun stuff we forget what day of the week it is.  Thank goodness for the pill boxes that have the day of the week written on the top.

This is a frog!  I know you weren't really sure with him all stretched out like that on top of his toadstool......Maybe he's just sunning himself like Rambo does.    The stamp is from Art Impressions.

And speaking of Rambo sunning himself..............

Thanks for stopping by........

More Flowers

For some reason I seem to be on a flower kick.  I'm thinking it's probably because a certain daughter and son of mine won't allow me to leave the house to look for the real thing.  I finally told my daughter she was in charge of finding some flowers to plant but she really doesn't know the difference between a flower and a weed so I'm a little concerned with that.   In the meantime, I'll just put them on cards.

This is an image from Power Poppy that I really like.  Just something about the simplicity of it......and yes, I made a simple card too!  I'm bound and determined to figure out these Zig markers with water so that's what I used on a piece of watercolor paper.  I tried to make the bucket look a little rusty.    The sentiment is......from somewhere.

I'll enter this in the challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (Flower Power) , over at AAA Birthday Challenge (Dots and/or Spots), and Cute Card Thursday (Dotty)

Thanks for stopping by........and I'll see everyone back on Monday.  Have a nice weekend and stay safe and healthy.

Books and Birthdays

Nothing better than a good book AND a good birthday!  A gift card to one of the book stores will be included with my card.

The stamp is from a set from Jan's Doodles and I've used this over and over again making bookmarks.  This time I decided to make a card and it came in handy for a birthday too.  I used a Tim Holtz stencil and distress ink behind the little girl - that was colored with Copics.  The small heart was a die cut and I used Glossy Accents on that and then added the tiny pearl.  To top it off I added the twine.

I'll enter this in the challenge at Jane's Doodles (add embellishments).

Birthday Balloons - PIP Challenge

How about a bunch of balloons for your birthday!

It's time for another challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  We're being sponsored by Di's Digi's .  It's an Anything Goes challenge his time so be sure and come on over and play along for a chance to win.

I used a balloon stencil and some distressed inks for the background and then stamped an older Simon Says Stamp sentiment.  I added a few clear gems and then mounted it all on some blue card stock.

Testing .......One, Two, Three, Four

When you're home bound, can't go anywhere, quarantined, have the "stay at home" order not only from the Governor but also from your children - you find things to do.  Let's see.....I've read a lot, watched a couple of movies on the iPad (love technology), cleaned very little, played with Rambo, tried to exercise (LOL!), and piddled.  Mainly I've piddled!  Now if you don't know what piddling is, let me tell you - it's the greatest thing ever.  You appear to be so busy but you're really not doing a single thing and certainly don't accomplish anything either.    I learned that when I was working.  The object was to look busy when you weren't!

Anyway, I was piddling around with this image the other day.  It's from MFT and such a pretty flower. So, I got out my colored pencils, watercolors, and Zigs.  I'm bound and determined to learn out to do this watercolor bit and also make something look good with the Zigs.

First I started off with my pencils though.  The top card on the left with the multi colored flowers was done on Neenah paper using the colored pencils.  The bottom one on the left was also using colored pencils but I used some Strathmore colored pencil paper.  I really liked using them on the Neenah better.

Next up was using some Koi watercolors that have been gathering dust now for a couple of years. I used those on the top card on the right.  No matter what I'm just not a watercolor person I don't guess.  The bottom right card was done using the Zigs and water.  Still a learning process on those but maybe getting a tiny bit better.

Anyway, there you have it and it was a fun way to piddle.

Thanks for stopping by.....and have a nice weekend.

Pansies to Cheer You - and Remind You - Jan's Challenge

Just a reminder that we're still having our challenge at Jan's Digi Stamps and would love for you to stop by, enter your Anything Goes project, and have a chance to be a winner!

I used one of Jan's brand new to the shop stamps called Pansies for Mom.   Beautiful pansies (and my very favorite flower too)!  I used a pre-colored image because they're always SO pretty.  I also used a couple of pieces of some lavender paper, ribbon, and clear gems.  The green piece of patterned paper behind the image is really, really, really looking washed out!  UGH!  What can I say.  In real life though it's actually pretty.  Um......Ribbon is looking a little saggy too.   What can I say!  Use your imagination!!!

Stop by the challenge blog and enter your card or project.  You will have plenty of time as the challenge won't end until the end of the month.

Thanks for stopping by...........

All About Frogs for a Fun Friday

Hopping by with a Fun Friday card...............We're talking frogs now.  I mean, why not - right?  These cuties are from Art Impression.  Not sure why I love frogs but I do............and that brings us to the story about the first (AND LAST) time I went frog leg hunting.  Yes you heard that right.

Jim and I and another couple were sitting around talking about frogs (no idea why on that one at all!) one day and we (THEY) decided that we'd go get some frog legs and cook them up that night.  Of course the best time according to Jim to get the frogs was at night when they all came out to do their croaking or whatever they like to do.  We found a good pond behind some friends house and all four of us piled in a boat.  It's pitch dark and the guys are happily paddling along and all I can think about are the creepy crawly's out and about and probably getting in the boat with me - and my pants!  And snakes....YIKES!   But, I'm a good sport so never say a word.  So we're peacefully paddling along ....and then KA-BOOM!  The entire boat shakes, the guys start paddling like mad and all I see is this big "A" bull frog sinking.......Uck!  They got to it before it went under and threw it in the boat.  Double Uck!  The "hunt"ended after we had about 15 frogs - lots of legs - in the boat with us..........  Don't even ask what my thought was on that!  They cooked them up that night and I just couldn't eat one. All I could think of was that poor bull frog croaking his little heart out and then the KA-BOOM!  I did end up trying frog legs a year or so later - from a restaurant - and they weren't too bad.  Sorta tasted like chicken???

Thank heavens these cute little guys won't end up on someones plate!

I'll enter this in the challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More (Clean and Simple).

Have a good weekend and stay safe and healthy - and SMILE!

These Boots...... - Jan's Digi's

Every time I turn on the radio to an oldies station, I hear that Nancy Sinatra song.......yep......these boot are made for walking - However, these are probably more like some pretty rain boots and made for wading instead.   I do love the flowers growing out of them!

It's time again for another challenge at Jan's Digi Stamps Challenge.  It's an Anything Goes challenge so be sure and stop by and enter for your chance to win some wonderful images from Jan's shop.  Beautiful and fun digis!

I've used the pre-colored version of April Showers Promise.  A beautiful set of stamps with so many images to choose from.  I've framed this out with a Gina K die and mounted it on some fun polka dot yellow paper.  The bow, which is also included in the set of stamps, was added at the top.  Just a pretty card to brighten someones day.

Thanks for stopping by........and be sure and check out our challenge!

Hugs - PIP Challenge

It's time again for another Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge!  It's always an Anything Goes challenge and we're hoping you'll come on over and play along for a chance to win a great prize package.  Our sponsor this time is Beccy's Place.  Wonderful images and so many to choose from.

I'm using a wildflower image from Beccy's Place that I thought was so pretty.  It's been colored with Copics and Tri-Blend Spectrum Noir markers.  The frame die is from Gina K. and the butterfly from Lawn Fawn.  The sentiment is from a very old Simon Says Stamp set.

It's A Good Day - 2 CCC

It's a good day today..........One reason being is that it's time again for another challenge over at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies!  It's always an Anything Goes challenge and all you have to do is have some type of critter on your card or project.  Come on over and enter for a chance to win!

We're being sponsored this month by Digi Doodle Studio's who has some wonderful images......like the one I used for my card today.  Loving these little hedgies and yes, it's a good day to be happy because it's a birthday for someone.  I colored the image with Copics, used some black glaze on the hedgies noses, added a clear gem to the center of the bow, and added a little embroidery floss.  The white background with the dots was done with a stencil and some Nuvo Glimmer Glaze....shiny stuff!

Thanks for stopping by......and check out 2 Crafty Critter Crazies and enter.
