Just a Pinch

I don't speak French at all or I'd lay some on you right now since that's what this little chef reminds me of.  I should have put the Eiffel Tower in the background!  I guess I could always look up something in French and throw it out there but I'm afraid y'all know me better than that.  It just wouldn't be believable with someone like me.

Anyway......I love the little chef stamps from MFT and finally broke down and got them when they had a sale the other day.  Also on this card I used a Memory Box bow die that I honestly don't think I've ever used before.  Not sure why since it's pretty cute.

This is my take on the sketch over at Sketch Saturday so I'll enter this in their challenge.

Bee-Day

Just a quick "bee-day" card for today using a set of stamps from My Favorite Things.  Using a stencil I did a little sponging with distress ink, added the hive, bees, and sentiment - and it was a done deal.

Now we just need the weather to warm up a little bit so we can see a couple of bees.

I'll enter this in the challenge at Case this Sketch (sketch),  Pixie's Crafty Workshop (snippets - I used snippets to make all the little bees and the hive too.), and AAA Cards (one corner with twist of older supplies - I used an older stencil that I love)

It's Almost Here - PIP Challenge

It's time again for another Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge - and it's almost time for St. Patrick's Day too!  Come on over and join in on our challenge.   We're being sponsored by Gerda Steiner Designs who has wonderful stamps and images.  It's an Anything Goes challenge so be sure and play along with your card or project.

I'm using this cute image that was provided by Gerda Steiner Designs.  Love the little cat popping up out of the hat for St. Paddy's Day.  I've colored this in Copics and Tri Blend Spectrum Noir markers, added two different green patterned papers, and a bit of twine.

Is It Summer Yet?

It's not summer yet  - and hey, it's not ever springtime yet.........However, this little gal is all ready to hit the beach (and I wish I was hitting it with her)!  It's really not too early to be thinking of summer I don't guess.  My daughter, the princess (granddaughter), and I went shopping the other day in about 34 degree weather and came home with 2 bathing suits for the princess.  Something is just wrong about putting bathing suits out in the stores when it's this cold.  Oh well..........The princess loves the swimsuits (and they'll probably be too small by the time summer gets here)!!!

I went shopping at the All Dressed Up store the other day and this was one of the images I got.  Love that image and thought it'd make some cute summertime birthday cards!  Very simple card, but just my style.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up and it's colored with Copics.

I'll enter this in the All Dressed Up Challenge - anything goes using an All Dressed Up image and the AAA Birthday Card Challenge (Cute).

Loving the Lettering!

It's time again for another Challenge at Jan's Digi Stamps.  Be sure and come over and enter your Anything Goes project or card for a chance to win a wonderful prize from Jan's shop.

These are new to the shop and I fell head over heels in love with them!  The granddaughters are always coming in wanting a birthday card so I just hand them the box and they start digging.  They're at the age (or something) where they don't want the critters on them so much.  They're liking cards like the above.  Simple, yet gives a punch too.  So after receiving these images I proceeded to make a bunch of birthday and thank you cards.  Jan also has the word Baby image blocked out in her shop too.  I love them all!

For these cards I printed out the image twice and them popped up some of the letters with dimensional tape.  Cut them out with a MFT die and then mounted on patterned paper.  For the "thank you" card I also added a little die cut flower and a clear crystal for the center.

Check out Jan's Shop for all the wonderful images and be sure and enter our Anything Goes challenge.

Happy V Day

Happy Valentine's Day!  This is the last of the litter on the Valentine's for this year.  Hope you have a beautiful day.

Another short post but I used a die from Sugar Pea for the hearts (cut in half) and then I'm thinking it was either a Sugar Pea or Simon Says stamp love die.  This is done on a linen type card stock.  Quick, easy, but gets the "love" job done I think.

I'll enter this at Cute Card Thursday (CAS) and Pixie's Crafty Workshop (snippets).

Thanks for stopping by..........and have a great weekend.

Alcohol Ink Valentine

Super duper CAS Valentine for a guy today.  I used a scrap of paper where I was piddling around with some alcohol inks.  Added the Sugar Pea design Valentine die and then a part of a Taylored Expressions strip sentiment saying I Adore You.  Card stock was some linen type paper.

How was that for a very short post today!

I'll enter this in The Male Room challenge (masculine love you card) and Clean and Simple on Friday (love)

1st Valentine

This is the 1st Valentine of the year.  Like I said in my last post......the further I go, the behind-er I get.  I really don't send out but a few Valentines each year though - like to the grands - so I'm sure I'll have them done before Valentine's Day.    I like making them though so maybe next year I'll plan on sending out more.

The raccoon image is from Hero Arts and the heart die from Sugar Peas design.  I attempted to do some graduating pink/red colors for the background.  Anyway, it's a done deal and I'll be posting a couple more Valentines next week since I probably need to get them in the mail pretty quick now.

The Behind-er

Not sure if it was all the pink or if my computer screen is awfully dirty, but can't seem to get a good picture of this one.  Tired of dealing with it so.......... Anyway...............

My dad always used to say -  the further I go the behind-er I get.  If that's not me lately nothing is.  The neck issue is somewhat better but not normal - whatever that is.  I can do a little at a time though so that's good I suppose.  But, as a result I seem to be getting behind-er on everything I do.  Still plugging away though.

This is one of four birthday cards I need for the month.  Got this one done for the sister in law.  One out of four isn't bad.    Don't you just love that sentiment!  We reach a "certain age" and trust me, you know what I'm talking about when it comes to velcro shoes.  Even better is probably flip flops you can just slide into, but sometimes you have to "dress up"!  After the shoes all you have to do is put a dab of Ben Gay behind the ears and on the wrists and you're ready to paint the town red.  LOL!

The image is from Art Impressions and sentiment from Taylored Expressions.  The background was done with a stencil and distress inks and coloring on the image with Copics and a while gel pen.

I'll enter this in the challenge at Taylored Expressions - Send a Card to a Friend (this will go in the mail tomorrow!) and Addicted to Clean and Simple - Ombre.

Bucket of Flowers - Jan's Digi Shop Challenge

Time again for Jan's Digi Stamps Challenge!  It's always an Anything Goes so come on over and enter your card or project for a chance to win some wonderful images from Jan's shop.

I used the image called Rustic Flowers from Jan's shop.  It comes in the black and white version and also the colored one.  I decided to attempt to color it this time using my Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend markers.  I also used two different pieces of patterned paper in pinks.  No sentiment was added so that will go on the inside when I decide what occasion I'll use it for.

Thanks for stopping by.............and be sure and stop by and enter our challenge.

Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop

Hello Blogging Friends!!
Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder where a female is born with only one X chromosome, instead of two, leaving her with life-long medical issues and learning disabilities. This condition occurs one in 2,500 female births worldwide, but is more common among pregnancies that do not survive to full term. That is why Turner Syndrome Females are considered MIRACLES!

Thirty-two caring Sponsors and five DT Members have partnered with us to bring Turner Syndrome Awareness to the Public. For details on how you might win any of these fabulous prizes, please see the home page.

I can't even begin to list all the sponsors that are offering up prizes for this hop - plus some of the members of the hop also offering prizes.  Be sure and check them all out.

For my card today I used a butterfly image from Jan's Digi Shop.   It's been colored in Copics and then cut out and placed on my card.  The flower die is from Memory Box and was cut out using some wood grain card stock - same as the base of the card.  The sentiment was white embossed on vellum and is from Paper Smooches.  I added some clear drops to the body of the butterfly and also the card.  Very clean and simply - but for a very special cause.

Head on over to the beginning of the hop Here and then stop all all along the way to have a chance to win a prize from one of the wonderful sponsors. There are a lot of stops but be sure and go to each one for inspiration.

Chick-en In - 2 Crafty Critter Crazies

Just "chick-en in" with this peep card for the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies challenge.  It's an Anything Goes challenge as always - as long as you use some type of critter on your card or project.  We;re being sponsored by Jan's Digi Shop.  Be sure and check out all the wonderful images from there.

I used Awesome Chick from Jan's Digi Shop for my card today.  I'm slowly (VERY slowly) trying to use up some of my patterned paper and was able to use a little bit on this card - along with some Kraft card stock.

Be sure and enter your card or project for our challenge for a chance to win.
