Winter Thank You

I'm B-A-C-K!!!!!  I actually survived all the company and had a great Christmas (AND, am still somewhat sane)!  It was very nice to get back in the craft room yesterday and see if I could remember how to create a card again!  LOL!

I noticed that several times over the last few days when things were so hectic around here -  kids running every which way, wrapping paper flying every direction, and me trying to get everyone fed and smiling a lot......I was busy designing cards in my mind!  Pretty scary to think that I love this craft that much!

Simple card but a good way to say "thank you" to someone for that special Christmas gift.  I used some SU DP scraps, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, and a sentiment from SU Watercolor Trio.

I'm really playing "catch up" around here after being away from the computer for so long.  I'll be by to visit everyone soon though!

Thanks for stopping by.............

Not a Dirty Card

Very simple - stars, sentiment, and button.  Done deal!  The base of this is Confetti White card stock.  I really like the look of the paper but in a photo it always just looks dirty!  It really isn't though - and doesn't have smudges on it or anything else. So, no dirty card here!  LOL!

I'll enter this in the challenge at Casology (cue card word is star).

All the craziness is cranking up now........We have company coming in the morning and then again on Wednesday.  Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas.

Mice in the House

There's mice in the house for Christmas!!!

This time of year when it's pretty chilly outside (and we're still in a drought), the mice dearly love to come in the house!  Yikes!  Not good.  Our cat is pretty worthless when it comes to catching mice but Rambo, our doxie, takes up the slack and can flush them out in a heartbeat!

These little guys are just really too cute though to be chased by a cat or a dog!  A really quick "git 'er done" card for Christmas - that will go into a brand new stack for next year.  I used the Santa Paws set from Paper Shooches to complete the card and I added the red stocking cap from an old SU set.  After trying to do a one layer card on this and messing up the coloring (several times) I just decided I didn't need that much stress in my life, so I paper pieced them.  I used the sketch from Clean and Simple Stamping!

I'm really going to be hit and miss around here for a little over a week now so please be patient with me.  Christmas Eve will be spent with some of my family and then my daughter and granddaughters will be here the day after Christmas to stay a while. I'll try to get a post up before all the craziness begins though.........
Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

A Snow Family

Yes, it's time for another {Pin}spirational Challenge!!  We really have a cute, cute photo for your inspiration too - will make you think SNOW!  We're being sponsored this week by Dilly Beans and they'll have a wonderful prize for the winner of our challenge.  We'd love to have you enter our challenge this week......the more the merrier.

I tried to do some kind of swirlly thing with that blue sponging - but never could get it to look like I wanted so what you see is what you get!  Ok, then I snapped a photo of the card.......and even though the pink button is the same color as the scarf, it just wasn't going to happen......Grrrrrrr......I finally just gave up on that.  What you see here is not what you'll see on the challenge blog though. Today, I got the bright idea to add the punched out snowflakes and rhinestones - I little different, but yet the same.  Anyway.....all that aside......check out our challenge blog and see all the wonderful inspiration from the DT.

Isn't this a cute decorating idea!!

Note - After today, {Pin}spirational Challenges will be taking a small break and will see everyone on January 8th.

Thanks for stopping by...........

Git 'er Done

Two very quick "git 'er done" cards! I'm winding down on making all my Christmas cards and needed two really quickies to get in the mail.  Every year I say the same thing........  NEXT YEAR I will be done with all my Christmas cards early AND they will be super clean and simple with nothing on them that will require extra postage or having to be hand cancelled!  That means no bows, rhinestones, or anything to cause bulk!  Oh, and they WILL have a postage stamp on them!  Jim came in from getting the mail today with a handful of cards that I'd sent several days ago!!!!!  Duh, no stamp on them!!  Ok, so next year I WILL get my act together!

My first card is very similar to one I posted several days ago - but this one is done in red.  I used the Impression Obsession die for the tree.   On the second one I used a SU stamp that's been embossed in gold.  The frame around this was done with SU punches.  It was very hard to get a photo of this one due to the shine off the embossing powder.......and that's Night of Navy card stock.

Sorry I'm not going to have a Funny Friday tomorrow.....just too much going on right now to think about that.  Maybe next week.......

All Bundled Up

It's time again for another challenge from {Pin}spirational!!  We're being sponsored this week by The Digi Garden - who also provided images for the DT to use!  Be sure and enter our challenge for your chance to win a great prize package from the sponsor!  Stop by our blog and check out all the inspiration from the DT too!

I went with a lighter color blue in this along with some stripe DP that has a tad of maroon/red in it.  Looks like winter and snow have already hit where this little gal is and she's just itching for a good snowball fight!  I dotted her muffler and cap with my glitter pen after coloring and then added the snowflake and bow.

I love the hat with the tomahawk look to it!  I'd even be willing to wear one of those myself.....um....may get a few funny looks but it sure would be fun!

Thanks for stopping by.......and be sure and check out the {Pin}spirational Challenge!

Golden Trees

Thought I'd give everyone a little gold and white today!  I used an Impression Obsession die and then placed some gold card stock behind the cut outs.  The sentiment (again) is from Stampabilities.  That gold ribbon......mercy me, is it ever shiny!!!  It's almost to the point of being gaudy!!   A pretty clean and simple card - and another one completed for the year.   Hopefully I'll get some of these Christmas cards addressed and mailed this weekend!

Single Snowflake

Let It Snow!!!!  It would be so wonderful to get snow here this year.....keeping my fingers crossed on that one though.  It wouldn't even have to be much - just enough so I could say it snowed!!  Oh, well, I guess I can keep dreaming.

I used a snowflake die from Impressions Obsessions and the sentiment is from Stampablities.  A clean and simple card for sure - but another one completed for Christmas!

There about a zillion challenges out there right now screaming for Christmas related cards - but I'll enter this in Mark's Finest Papers (Christmas card with no red or green) and the challenge at Simon Says Stamp (snowflakes).

Thanks for stopping by............
