Winter Trees
Are y'all tired of seeing Christmas cards yet!!! One more here - and then I'll wait a couple of weeks before making another one...promise! I just HAD to do this one though so I could enter it in the challenge over at The Alley Way Stamps for their be inspired challenge. Besides that, the trees are so adorable who could resist.
The trees are a free image and the star is from the Crazy Critters set found at The Alley Way Stamps After coloring them up, I added some unknown DP and a little glittery snow. The sequins are tiny little babies that came from a SSS kit.

A Long Dapper Dog
This looks like either a late Christmas card or an early New Year's card. Guess I'll go with New Year's! The cute little dog and lamp post are from There She Goes and the tiny bow die from Memory Box.
Don't get confused here because this is NOT Rambo. Number one....this little guy looks like he's all dressed up for the ball. Rambo wouldn't keep a top hat on his head I'm afraid unless it was glued on. Number two.......Rambo would already be over at that lamp post doing what he loves to do!!! LOL!

Black and Blue - and Silver
Two very quick and easy cards for Christmas. Since all my cards have been mailed for the holidays, I'll be saving these for next year.
The first one is done using a SU stamp and silver embossing and the second is with a Impression Obsession die and SU greeting - also embossing in silver. I used a stencil on the background and embossed the silver on black. Basically a whole bunch of embossing going on with these two cards. I saw a video by Kristin Werner the other day using this stencil and embossing. This is a CASE of her card - but I just KNOW she didn't have the mess I had! Mercy, I had embossing powder every where - and then some. Also, she has all these cool supplies and I didn't so I was substituting and think it would have been easier if I had all that neat stuff. No matter though since it's going to be a good mailer for Christmas next year.
I'll be back later in the week. Wishing everyone a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!

It's Almost Christmas
There's only 5 more days until Christmas and you just realized you forgot to send that one special person a Christmas card! Go over to the All Dressed Up shop and grab one of these cuties like All Dressed Up For Christmas and get that card made and placed in the mail.
I made a very clean and simple card for my inspiration post today - after all, it really is only a few days before Christmas now but you still have time to get out one more card. The image is colored in Copics and then I added a few enamel dots.......ready to be posted after a short message on the inside.
Wendy has so many cute and pretty images in the shop so be sure and check them out. There's also plenty of time to enter our current challenge HERE. The theme is clean and simple. Be sure and read all the rules and regulations for entering the challenge. There's also a few free images there too!

Red and Green
It's time for another challenge at Digi Haven. Our theme this go-round is Red and Green. Of course it doesn't necessarily have to be Christmas - but we want to see the colors red and green. Our sponsor this time is My Grafico and you could win a wonderful prize package by entering our challenge and being chosen as the winner.
I kept wanting to add a sentiment to this card and it just never looked right. Now the more I look at it the more I like it without a sentiment. It can be used for Christmas, a winter birthday, thank you - or whatever. The image from My Grafico was printed and then colored in Copics with a bit of Frantage sprinkled around.
That gorgeous crochet frame........A while back, Jessi (One Crafty Mama) and I were on a DT together and she sent me several of these that she'd crocheted. They're so beautiful and she's very creative and talented to be able to do things like this. She also has them on her blog and you can purchase them there. Check out Jessie's Blog regarding these. They make a gorgeous frame for images.
Take a peek at the Digi Haven challenge - we have a new Junior DT member that is not only a cutie but makes some fantastic creations too! A big welcome to Alex!

BIG Holiday Wishes
This is going to probably be the extent of my homemade gifts this year. I used a stamp from the Simon Says Stamp kit and stamped it in Gumball Green. I stamped the "BIG" in red, cut it out and popped it over the "BIG" in the green. Tied some twine on it, mounted it on some DP and it's a done deal. Can y'all tell how much of a slacker I've been with my decorations on stuff this year! LOL!
Inside that jar is the most delicious, sweetest, and non-fattening (YEAH, RIGHT!!!!) stuff you'd ever want to eat. It's Candy Cane Peppermint Popcorn. Carol (Our Little Inspirations) mentioned that she was going to be making some so I found her recipe on Pinterest and added it to my "Recipes I've Made" board. Check it out......it's yummy in the tummy for sure - and I'm not big on eating sweets at all but that stuff is GOOD!
I'll see everyone back here on Thursday evening.....

A Christmas Thanks
Just a little "thanks" that will be going to Santa on Christmas morning - hopefully!!!!! If he decides not to leave me anything this year (which could be a strong possibility) then I'll save this for next year!
I used a free image from The Alley Way Stamps. The sentiment is also from TAWS that's in a set called Jibber Jabber. I printed the image five times, cut them out, and popped them up after coloring with Copics and adding a bit of the Wink of Stella Pen for shine.
I'll enter this in the inspiration photo challenge at The Alley Way Stamps.

Looking For Dasher
No, I don't really dress this way for the holidays - however......(yep, you got it.....a short story here).....
Jim and I decided to do a little Christmas shopping the other day and after getting ready that morning I put on my reindeer antlers headband and announced I was ready to go! He took one look at me and said there was NO way he was going anywhere with me dressed that way! (He also said I needed a different kind of horns!!!!!!) He really has no sense of adventure what-so-ever! I took them off and stuck them in my purse - but as soon as we got to the mall, put them back on. I was hoping to find Dasher - or Donner, or actually any of the guys. They really weren't interested either - can't image why! I did get a few "looks" though!
The image is from Art Impressions and she's colored in Copics. The sentiment is from SU. I embossed the red panel behind the image with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. I gave her outfit a little shine with the Wink of Stella Pen and some glitter.
I'll enter this in the challenges at Deconstructing Sketches (sketch) and at Art Impressions (Merry and Bright).

Fat Santa
It's a well know fact that Santa is overweight - yes, he's fat! There's a good reason for this though. I mean stop and think about it for a minute.......if you lived on the North Pole in all that frigid air, you'd certainly want a little extra meat on your bones too! If he's not worried about a little chunk-iness, I'm sure not going to say a word! I need all the extra help at Christmas I can get and don't want him mad at me for sure!!
This is very CAS but I seem to be racing like a mad woman trying to get all my Christmas cards completed, addressed, and mailed - before Christmas! Mr. Santa and the sentiment are from Paper Smooches. The tiny heart is from a die, the Polaroid frame from Lil Inkers, and DP from SU. I colored this dude in Copics and then added some Modge Podge Dimensional Magic to his cuffs, hat, and glasses. I sprinkled a little glitter on top of the cuffs and hat. One thing nice about the Magic is that it gives the look of Glossy Accents but doesn't cover up anything underneath (like you can still see the pupils of his eyes).
I'll enter this in the challenge at Paper Smooches Sparks (see inspiration photo), at Drunker Stampers (Santa), and Totally Gorjuss (anything with Santa).

A Quickie
A really quick CAS cards since I'm trying to get all these finished and in the mail this week. Every year I swear I'm not going to do this bit of waiting until the last minute - but do it anyway. I WILL try to be better next year! (You notice I say "try")!
I have no idea where this image came from. I found it lurking around in my craft area sandwiched in with some summer stamps! Go figure that one out!!! It's so nice to be that organized! It's a clear stamp and that's all I can tell you about it except for the fact it's just the cutest and reminds me of Rambo! I added glitter to the jacket and hat fur looking stuff but his hat looks a little dirty in the photo - he must have been chewing on it! He's colored with Copics and popped up in the nestie.
Thanks for stopping by.........and I'll be back tomorrow with another one for Christmas and then try not to bore you with one last one for Friday. Y'all really didn't think I could go through the holidays without a Fun Friday card for Christmas now did you!!!

Chugging Along
Many years ago my grandfather worked for the railroad. After he retired he and my grandmother opened up a little Kiddie Land park in Austin, Texas. We only lived about an hour from there and I can still remember the excitement of going to see my grandparents - um.......probably more so that I was going to be able to ride anything I wanted at the Kiddie Land - and get all the popcorn and soft drinks I wanted for free!!! I couldn't have been over about 3 or 4 years old, but still remember the HUGE train that went all the way around the park with my granddad as the conductor. It also had a HUGE merry go round and roller coaster! Of course you gotta remember when you're only 3 or 4 years old, everything looks HUGE!
When I saw this cute little digi (Gingerbread Train) over at Deedee's Digis it immediately brought back a flood of good memories........and besides that, it's as cute as can be! This is a pre-colored image and with Christmas fast approaching, this made for a quick, easy, and fun card. I added some Modge Podge Dimensional Magic (thanks to Jessi for telling me about this stuff) to the little puffs of smoke and the top of the train. It's similar to glossy accents. I added the little conductor (which is adorable) to the inside and will be sending this card to my brother to bring back some memories for him too.
Check out Deedee's Digis - very nice images. This is for their progressive challenge - if you enter this month you'll receive a free image next month. This set came with 2 different images and 3 sentiments - both colored and line.
I'll also enter it in the Pixie's Snippets Workshop (using snippets).

Christmas With Bugaboo
I'm back again with another challenge from Digi Haven. With everyone making cards for Christmas right now, this should be an easy challenge for you to enter. Our theme this go round is CHRISTMAS! We're being sponsored by Bugaboo who provided the images for our challenge. There's a wonderful prize package for the winner of the challenge too. Come on over to Digi Haven and play along!
For some reason or another my card just looks squatty - short and fat! Must have been the camera angle or something. Anyway.....after coloring up this cute image from Bugaboo I mounted it on a couple of Nesties. There's also another one of those Kars Cuttlebug snowflake embossed pieces again that Mary sent to me. Thanks again Mary! The sentiment is from SU and I wrapped it all with the gingham ribbon and bow (made using the Bow Easy).
I'll enter this is the challenges at Paper Pretties (It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas), Sentimental Sundays (Traditional Christmas Colors), and Stamp-n-Doodle (Christmas is Coming).

Tagging Along
I never make tags much except at Christmas and even then I'm more inclined to just slap one of those store bought sticker tags on the bottom of the present where it already has the "to" and "from" and let it go at that. I'm in need of Christmas cards more than tags right now anyway- so I made a tag and just put it on a card. Worked out pretty good.
The tag itself is a vanilla color that I embossed with a SU embossing folder. I stamped the sentiment (SU) on it and then added a tiny strip of green card stock. The baby poinsettias were done with the Small Poinsettia die from Poppy Stamps. I shined them up with the Wink of Stella Pen and added a tiny pearl to the center. The lace matches the color of the tag. This was all mounted on a piece of Real Red card stock. Another Christmas card completed! Christmas isn't that far off now.

Christmas Angel
It's time for another new release of images from the All Dressed Up shop and also a new challenge. Our theme this go-round is Christmas! Be sure and check out the All Dressed Up Blog for challenge rules and inspiration from the DT. You can find All Dressed Up images in Wendy's Etsy shop (like this new release called Little Angel) and also several free images on the blog.
Little Angel is all dressed up for Christmas! I've used some bright blue and light blue card stock along with some DP from CTMH. She's colored with Copics and dusted with Frantage. Even though you can't see it in the photo, I used the Wink of Stella glitter pen for her wings - to give them a glow. A snippet of red ribbon was added and she's all ready to mail out to a special little girl for Christmas.

Crazy Like a Fox
It's going to be a little bit crazy around here for the next few days but wanted to slide this foxy card in to enter in The Alley Way Stamps challenge. The fox and sentiment are from The Alley Way Stamps. I started out with a Kraft base and added some DP from My Minds Eye and some from an unknown source. The little fox is popped up and colored with Copics. Several rhinestones were added along with the twine.
Now, back to the craziness.......My daughter and her crew will be here later today and then tomorrow we celebrate Thanksgiving. More company coming in then. We should have a houseful and lots to eat! Friday will probably mean a trip to the city to take the granddaughters on a little shopping trip - but not Black Friday early - and then Saturday they head back home. Later that day Jim's sons and their families will hit. By Sunday I'll be ready for the funny farm and yes.....crazy like a fox! (I really don't know what that means though since I've never seen a crazy fox!). I'll pop in on your blog when, and if, I get a chance - and will see you again when I see you! If you celebrate Thanksgiving I hope you have a wonderful day.

Ho, Ho, and Ho
Happy Ho, Ho, and Ho (or maybe that should be meow)! I used a stamp set and die from Simon Says Stamp and DP from SU. Colored up these little guys a bit and paper pieced the short dogs hat. The "snow" embossing folder is from Sizzix and really not the same as the Kars one but it'll do in a crunch. The bottom was cut and glittered up with some Rock Candy distress glitter - almost looks like dirty snow against that bright white!
I'll enter this in the challenge at Addicted to Clean and Simple (code word - Pet) and also in Pixie's Crafty Workshop (snippets).

Eight Little Snowmen
The challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays is to create with 8. So, how about 8 little snowmen! This is from a very old SU wheel that I dismounted and these are about half of the snowmen that are on it. It really makes for a quick and easy card for Christmas. All I did was stamp the image, color them up a bit, add some glitter to the flakes, and use the Wink of Stella to shine up the vest and a few of the scarves.
Just a very quick card for you today and I'll be back tomorrow!

Drunk Turkeys
Well, it's Friday so I thought we'd have a little discussion about a topic that's come to my attention. I read in the paper last week that turkey farmers/ranchers/people that raise turkeys, have started giving them beer to fatten them up! For real!!! Those birds love the stuff! Personally, I can understand that because nothing tastes better on a hot day than a good "cold one". But the thought of turkeys drinking beer is a little overwhelming! Supposedly they prefer lager over beer. They say it gives the meat a better flavor and also the gravy is a bit darker. Can you just image a bunch of drunk turkeys running around - all glassy eyed, staggering, etc! Of course if I was a turkey I'd probably want to drink as much as possible and good and drunk. Especially before Thanksgiving when I knew I was going to end up on someones dining room table! I don't blame the little guys for loving that tasty stuff either!!!
SO..........after your turkey meal for Thanksgiving next week if everyone seems a little tipsy, you'll know why!
My computer........ah......I know some of you have been getting ads pop up for some reason. Have no idea why. The computer went into the shop on Monday and they cleaned it all up, etc. and can't find a single thing that would be causing the ads......SO - no clue! You may want to "Google" on how to keep ads from popping up on your computer. There's really not much else I can say or do but I am sorry this is happening.

Scarecrows for Thanksgiving
It's time again for another challenge at Digi Haven. With Thanksgiving about a week away we'd like to see your creations for either Thanksgiving or Giving Thanks. Come on over and join in on the fun for a chance to win a wonderful prize package from Beccy's Place, our sponsor for this challenge.
I used this a scarecrow image from Beccy's Place with the look of Fall. Layered a few pieces of card stock behind the image, did a little faux stitching, and added some of those big brads that I've had in my stash forever! The burlap was recycled from curtains that were in a deer blind several years ago. I figure you need to have a little style if you're going to sit in a deer blind all day!
I'm back in business on my computer again and will give you an update on that in the morning on my next post. I'll try to catch up with everyone as soon as I can.
Thanks for stopping by......and I'll be back in the morning for a FUN Friday!

All Dressed Up For You
My inspiration card today features one of those darling images from All Dressed Up by Wendy Burns. You'll find images like this plus many more in the shop. We also have a challenge going on right now and would love for you to join. Head on over to the All Dressed Up Challenge and play along with us this week.
Not a whole lot to say about my card. I again used one of the embossed pieces of card stock that Mary sent me. Looks just like snow - I guess......it's been a LONG time since I've seen the white flaky stuff! I colored the image with Copics and paper pieced her hat. The boots were covered in Glossy Accents and then Frantage sprinkled around the image.

Un-Suspended Christmas Tree
Before I start rattling on about my card.......a note about the ads popping up on my blog. I haven't authorized these things and have no idea why they're there. I apologize because I know how frustrating they can be. I spent most of the last two days trying to fix this problem and finally decided that this baby is going to the computer hospital tomorrow to have someone smarter than I am try to figure it out. I'm sure they'll be keeping it for several days and I'll go through withdrawal without a computer but that's just life I guess. I have several cards scheduled for the remainder of the week so pop back in when you get a chance.
Now - the reason I say it's an "un-suspended" Christmas tree is because it really started out as one of those cute cards with the hole punched in the front of the card and the tree dangling. There's no dangle to this one though. Everything started out pretty good and then I totally lost concentration on what I was doing so it's just laying flat as a pancake! There IS a hole cut in the center of the card though and the tree is popped up on dimensionals. I also added some Tim Holtz Rock Candy distressed glitter to give it a shine. One thing about it, it's going to be an easy mailer for the holidays! The stamp set I used is from Simon Says Stamp. This is similar to one I saw on another blog - I'm in Haven - but of course hers suspended just perfect.
I'll enter this in the challenge at CAS-ual Friday - that's teaming up with Curtain Call this week (inspiration photo) and Pixie's Crafty Workshop (snippets).

A Mousy Kind of Christmas
Lots of dots on this card - right!! Well, I do love polka dots but may have gone a tab bit overboard on them. Still a fun card to ship out for Christmas! The little mouse and sentiment are from Paper Smooches. Gotta love those mice you know. I added some SU patterned paper and Cherry Cobbler card stock, a snip of twine, and some enamel dots. Also did a tiny bit of stitching on the card stock.
I'm following the sketch below in order to enter this in the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge this week. I'll also enter it in Moving Along with the Times Challenge (furry friends)
I know I haven't had a Funny Friday in ages....and am working on that.....so stay tuned.
Note: I just got a comment yesterday on here saying that some type of advertisement was showing up on my blog. I really have no idea what it could be but I'm not seeing it. If you're stopping by and see something like this I apologize. Any ideas on how to get rid of that would be appreciated too!

Poinsettia Christmas
Up until a few years ago, I viewed poinsettias as just a so-so flower and I wasn't seeing the beauty in them. Now I can't seem to get enough of them! That's one of my favorite things about all the holiday decorations you see in the store now too. I buy at least one of these pretty plants every Christmas and can actually keep them alive for several months. After that, it starts getting too hot around here and they pretty well crater.
I finally broke down and bought the Poppy Stamps die for this - and also got the smaller die but haven't used it yet. I wasn't real pleased with the leaf arrangement that I had going on my card so punched out several of the MS sprigs and used those instead. I also felt like I need something else for the gold part on the inside of the flower but ending up leaving it like it was for easy mailing. The embossing folder is from Cuttlebug I believe. I went over the petals with a glitter pen but they didn't show up very much in the photo. Will have to try something different on that next time. And last but not least.............I see so many using this die and curling the leaves a bit. I didn't curl mine because I've noticed when the leaves start to curl on my real poinsettia plants that means they're getting ready to bite the dust!
I'll enter this in Pixie's Snippets Workshop (snippets).

In the Meadow......
......we can build a snowman. Well, we don't usually get to build these little guys down this far in Texas but I can still "build" one on a card!
This little guy is one of the stamps in the Snow Much Fun set from SU. He reminds me of the Pillsbury Dough Boy and I want to poke him in the stomach! The trees in the background are from Repeat Impressions. Did a bit of sponging and then cut some snippets of white and glittered it up for the snow. Of course I just had to add a little Frantage for the falling snow. Looks like a nice wintery day.
I'll enter this in Pixie's Snippets Playground (snippets used on the snowman and "snow")

The Great Spotted - Frog
A quick card today with this cute frog from Paper Smooches. No bling, no shine, no mess. I also made a 4X4 card - which I never, ever do but this little guy was just looking way too lonesome on a larger card.
I'll enter him in the Trend Watch challenge over at Paper Smooches Sparks - stripes.
I'll also enter Mr. Frog in the challenge over at Pixie's Snippets Playhouse!
Thanks for stopping by.......and have a great weekend.

A Couple of Turkeys
Yesterday you'll remember seeing a "couple of bucks".....today you get a couple of turkeys! It's time for another challenge from Digi Haven and our sponsor is Floppy Latte - who provided the sentiments for my cards today. The theme this go round is Fall. Be sure and check out Digi Haven and play along for a chance to win a wonderful prize package from Floppy Latte.
Both of my cards are exactly the same - except for one little difference................
Yep, the second one isn't just some ordinary turkey - he's turkey in the straw!!! The turkey image is from Bugaboo (colored in Copics) and like I said, the sentiment is from Floppy Latte. Super clean and simple cards that will get mailed the week before Thanksgiving.
A little story about the straw! I think I've used small pieces of hay on my Thanksgiving or Fall cards for several years - mainly because a guy used to store his bales of hay out here and I'd just go grab a handful. This year he didn't store it here so I had no hay and was pretty sad about the whole thing.......however, the grocery store provided!! They have very small bales of hay for the pumpkins and that type of things to sit on. You guessed it.....several little sprigs just ended up in my purse somehow - they were actually on the floor in front of the bales and I just figured it was my duty to help keep the store litter free!!
I'll enter this in the challenge at DRS Designs (who's a turkey).
Thanks for stopping by.......and be sure and enter the Digi Haven Fall Challenge this week.

A Couple of Bucks
A couple of bucks for you today! Now I know that generally speaking, a couple of bucks means two and a few means more than two. I only have a "couple" on the front but will include the other inside to make it a "few" - along with a little money for Christmas too!
Those cute little reindeer and the sentiment are from Paper Smooches. I used some red background paper and the photo die from Lil Inker. The snowflake was made with a Martha Stewart punch and glitter added. Behind the deer I used a much loved piece of the snow embossing folder that Mary sent me and some more glitter to the hand cut "snow" they're standing on. The piece of Kraft was embossed with wood grain from SU. I'm getting ready for Christmas.
I'll enter this in the challenges at Sweet Stamps (nature), Pixie's Snippets Playground (snippets), and the ABC Christmas Challenge (reindeer).

Fall Pumpkin
It won't be too much longer and Thanksgiving will be here.....good food and friends! If only I didn't have to cook it! Every year I swear we're all going out to eat somewhere and then I end up cooking again. I'm really thinking I've spent enough years doing that and things need to change - but don't see that happening.
Very simply one layer card using a stamp from Hero Arts that I've had forever. The sentiment is from SU. I colored this with some Intense Pencils and then ran some score lines around it to frame it out.
I'll enter this in the challenges at Addicted to Clean and Simple (one layer) and Perfect Sentiments (Fall or Halloween).

Fall(ing) for All Dressed Up
I'm All Wrapped Up in the images from Wendy's Burns All Dressed Up shop......and it just so happens this one is called All Wrapped Up! Take a look at Wendy's shop and you can find this cute image among many more.
It's time again for another challenge at All Dressed Up!! Be sure and check out our challenge blog and enter for your chance to win. See all the rules of the challenge on the blog - and note there are some free images there too. Our theme this go-round is Give Thanks/Autumn Colors.
I used some Chocolate Chip card stock and My Minds Eye patterned paper for my card. The image is colored in Copics. I added some twine and did a little bit of stitching. Normally I would have stamped the sentiment (from a Simon Says Stamp kit) directly on the card but thought by punching it out in the scalloped oval it gave it more dimension.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure and head on over to our challenge blog for more inspiration from the DT.

Normally I would have stamped the sentiment (from a Simon Says Stamp kit) directly on the card but thought by punching it out in the scalloped oval it gave it more dimension.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure and head on over to our challenge blog for more inspiration from the DT.

Christmas Beginnings
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas........well, at least in my craft room it is! I haven't started decorating or anything crazy like that yet but do need to get a few cards done so they'll be ready to mail in December. I've made several during the year and now it's time to kick it up and notch and "git 'r done".
First of all......see that embossing folder!!! Sweet, sweet Mary over at Carolina Cards By Mary H. sent me several of these after I commented on her lovely blog. I've searched far and wide and can't find the folder (discontinued) but do love the look of the dots since it reminds me of snow. Check out Mary's blog when you get a chance - and thank you again so very much!
The stamp I used is a recent purchase and made by Stampabilities. Perfect for the upcoming holidays. I stamped it with Copics and then framed it out in gold. Very CAS look even though it has the layers. Now, the best part.......I also recently purchased a Wink of Stella pen. OMGoodness!!!! That thing is just sensational!! I got it in the clear - but am really thinking I need one in gold and what ever other colors they have!!! I used it on the berries on the wreath and also the red part of the bow. It really shines - but sadly you can't see it in the photo. Maybe I just need to send a card like this to all of y'all so you can see the shine!!!
I'll enter this in the challenge at Simon Says Stamps (anything goes), Addicted to Stamps and More (Clean and Simple), and Inky Impressions (Traditional Christmas).

Rocking Along
Just rocking along here to share a card using some of the stamps from The Alley Way Stamps. Ever so often I need a masculine card for a young man that's not quiet an adult and yet not a child either. Thought this one would fit the bill.
I snapped this pic inside with not very good lightening - but used some Cherry Cobbler card stock from SU and several different snippets for the arrow looking things (surely they have a better name than that)! I added some enamel dots that I made with Enamel Accents. I do like the Paper Pen better than the Enamel Accents for this but these worked pretty good just the same. Topped it off with a small piece of twine.
I'll enter this the challenge at Pixie's Snippets Playground.

Thinking of Fall
I'm STILL not sure where I thought I was going with this card! No earthly idea! It doesn't even shimmer or shine or anything and so totally "not me"!
When this stamp set from SU (French Foliage) first came out I saw so many pretty cards with it and figured I HAD to have it! Um.....it's never been used until now! I sponged a bit, stamped some orange-y and blue type colors, added the sentiment and Spice Frantage...... and then because it was looking so plain decided to add the dew drops and twine! There again - it sure didn't look like what I thought it was going to look. Does anyone else have flubs like this or is it just me??? PLEASE tell me it's not just me! LOL!
Anyway, that's it for today - and it's back to the drawing board now.

A Little Bit Country
Jim is always giving me some kind of song and dance about when he was younger and being so poor he had to walk to school five miles - barefoot, etc......One of his best ones though is having to get water for his younger sister so she could take a bath since they had no indoor plumbing. He started out telling me that he had to go to the creek and haul water back up to the house for her bath. I mentioned that I really could not see anyone getting water hauled from the creek - I mean, why not just go to the creek and take a bath there! Makes sense to me anyway......Well, as time has gone on he's changed it to how he used to draw water and heat it up, etc......I personally think he's full of it!
Next time he mentions all this though I plan on giving him this card!!! LOL! The is an image from SU and it's colored with Intense water color pencils. The sentiment is also SU and the squiggly thing under it is from CTMH. The panel is embossed with the Square Lattice Folder from SU.
Since the cue word is "Country" over at CAS-ology, I'll enter it in their challenge.

Ahoy Halloween
Digi Haven has another challenge beginning today and we'd love for you to join us! The theme is Black and Orange (predominately)- check out the blog for all the details on this challenge. Black and orange are definitely Halloween colors but of course it doesn't necessarily have to be a card for Halloween. Use your imagination and play along.
We're being sponsored by Broken Box Stock who provided us with the images and you'll find so many more cute images at their store. This one is a little trick or treat pirate....and yes, he's all decked out in orange and black. I'm not sure where I found the sentiment but it just seemed to go with the image.
I'll enter this in the challenges at Cards for Men (Halloween), Eureka Stamps (Halloween colors) and Kaboodle Doodles (Halloween colors).

Monsters and Such
Thought I'd throw a cute little pink and orange non-Halloween monster out here for everyone today!
I stamped this little guy over pink polka dot patterned paper and then added his horns and bow tie in orange. The stamp and sentiment are from The Alley Way Stamps and I'll enter it in their inspiration challenge. The design is from Retro Sketches and I'll also enter this in their challenge. And, last but certainly not least, since I used snippets for the horns, bow tie, twine, and orange paper I'll also enter him in the challenge over at Pixie's Snippets Playground.
That's it for today and will see everyone on Thursday evening!
Thanks for stopping by.........
