The image I've used for this Blog Hop is called Armchair Arnie. He is just READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!! He's got his popcorn, beer, favorite recliner, and remote. Total relaxation for sure. The image has the little patched up places on the recliner and I added some duct tape to that - gotta hold that chair together for one more football season. I used some Liquid Glass on that yummy looking bowl of popcorn. Go check out Boni's store for not only this brand new release, but alot of other fantastic images.

Sincere Sympathy

A friend of mine asked me to make a sympathy card for her so she could give it to a family that had lost a loved one. I CASEd this from a card I saw on SCS by "knightrone". Hers was not quite this clean and simple but I kept mine like this so it could be mailed without any extra postage. I really like the simplicity of it though. That bow is actually brown, but looks almost black in the photo. I used the Thoughts and Prayers stamp from SU and used some Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, and some DP I had in my stash.

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving (if you celebrate this). All my company is finally gone and after five days of cooking, cleaning, washing dishes, etc......I'm really ready for things to be back to normal again.

Penguin Party

I still haven't decided if these are penguins or black and white owls! They're SUPPOSE to be penguins though so that's what we're going with here. I saw a card on Michelle's Stamping Blog that was similar to this and since I've had that owl punch from SU for several weeks and hadn't used it I thought maybe now was the time. I still haven't punched out any owls yet!

This is another very clean and simple card. I really didn't have all the punches required for this but used the owl punch and the Itty Bitty Shapes punch. The rest of it was done by just cutting up some of the scraps (as if you couldn't tell)! The sentiment is from Christmas Scripts (CTMH).

This will be for the Creative Inspirations Paint challenge - spreading your wings. And yes, penguins DO have wings....they just use them for swimming instead of flying. I'm also entering this in the Just Us Girls challenge - to use the colors red, white, black, and yellow.

We have a slew of company coming in tomorrow for Thanksgiving and some of them won't be leaving until Saturday!!! Yikes! SOOOOO, I'm going to be on a short break from blogging for awhile. I will try to pop in on your blog if possible - and if not, I'll catch up with you after Saturday. Thanks to everyone for all your wonderful comments. Caroling Snowmen

Every two weeks, the blog group Stamps R Us has a challenge. This time the theme is Sparkles and Scallops. Be sure and go check it out. You have another week to submit your post. Also note that there is a PRIZE involved here . If you like Stamping Boutique images (or if you've never tried them and want to) be sure and submit an entry in this challenge.

There is alot going on with this card - in fact, maybe a little too much. I used two different embossing folders (Snow Flakes and Swiss Dots). The scalloped border and the snowflakes were made with a MS punch. I added glitter not only to the snow flakes, but also to the little scarves and hats on the snowmen. Actually, since that one little "guy" has a pink outfit on, I guess you can say two snow men and one snow woman! I printed out the image twice and popped up the second one - then again popped up the entire panel the snowmen are on.

This is for Paper Sundaes challenge - to use at least two of the following: Punches, Ribbon, Embossing and the color blue. As it turns out I used all four. I've also submitted it for the challenge over at Paper Play - let it snow.

Wanna Party?

This is a free image I snagged from Bugaboo Stamps not long ago. Isn't she a cutie all dressed up in Christmas attire. She's ready to party, or maybe she's had one too many parties! I think she kind of sums up what I look like after having to take all the decorations down after Christmas. I really don't usually mind putting everything up, but taking it down in another story! Maybe I just need two homes so I can leave it all up all year in one home and live in the other one!

This wonderful layout is for a sketch challenge that is going on at Bugaboo right now. I really like the layout - pretty well clean and simple.

I used the Swiss Dots embossing folder on the red background and the patterned paper is from Paper Studio. The snowflakes were made with a MS punch.

Back When......

Ok, I know you're probably looking at this post and thinking that there is no way this card could be for a guy! Well, believe it or not, IT IS!

This is a birthday card for a friend (guy) of mine that was, and probably still is to some extent, a "hippie" - "BACK WHEN"! He probably even still has his love beads. I know not too many of yall remember "back when" - but it was a totally different "scene" for sure. It was hard to tell the guys from the gals and you just "did your own thing" and "let it all hang out". It wasn't unusual (at all) to see guys in pink and purple with some shimmer and shine! I know I'm really telling my age with this post and as my daughter would probably say - "Mom, NO ONE IS THAT OLD!"

Even though I already had this image, if you hurry you can pick it up at Dude Time Doodles for free. This is for a challenge they're having using this image - with a chance to be a Guest Designer for December.
