The Critters

I FINALLY finished making all five of the Sock Monkeys! YES! It was very hard to get a good picture of these little critters as their tails kept getting in the way. Anyway, they are all finished in time for Christmas. I have never been so sick of Sock Monkeys in my life! This started out when one of the granddaughters said she wanted one for Christmas. Then my daughter called and said the other granddaugher wanted one - and then my husband said that his three granddaughters would probably like one too! Yikes! The first one was kinda fun but then after that they just got to be a chore. And you know what - THEY"RE REALLY CREEPY! As I would finish one I sat it on the dresser (because the dog kept wanting to get to them for play time) in the bedroom. Waking up in the morning and seeing these things was just down right SCARY!

But, like I said, I'm through with them and now can get back to stamping. Yeah!

Thanks for stopping by..........

Lynn

From personal experience, anytime someone sees something on your blog (especially when it's something that's a pain to make), they want 10 more of them - so I think it's safe to say you're not as done with your sock monkeys as you think you are. :)

Yes, kind of creepy, but also cute... in a strange way.

You're very talented!

Congrats on getting them done before Christmas. They really look so well made and it's fun that you dressed them. I have to agree with you though - sock monkeys are kind of creepy. I think's it the huge mouth.

Wow! Great job!

A dear friend of mine remembered when I mentioned to her about having a sock monkey while I was growing up.

When her mother passed on, my friend gave me the makings she found along with the directions for the sock monkey that also has directions for a sock elephant doll.

My daughter wanted a sock monkey and I said I would make her one. But she said she wanted a store bought doll. So I said, spend your own $$. She of course, will not! haha. Nice job on them. Although they are the same, they all seem to have a personality!
