As you know, I finished all of my Christmas cards last weekend and got them mailed. I saw a card similar to this on SCS though and just HAD to try it. I can't give credit to whoever posted it on SCS as I don't remember who it was.
I guess this will be my first Christmas card for 2010! It's never too early to start on next years cards.
There was no stamping on this card. I punched out the little branches with a MS punch and placed them in a circle for the wreath on white CS, matted it on Real Red, added a few red rhinestones to the wreath, and tied the bow with my trusty Bow-Easy to finish it off. I attempted to emboss a "window" for it to be "hanging" in but really don't like how that turned out. (You can't really see it in the picture unless you enlarge it.) I think if I had cut some squares and then sponged the edges it would have looked more like a window.
Anyway..........thanks for stopping by...............

This is so cute. Never hurts to get a head start.
WOW! You're *really* ahead of things. I'm a little jealous!
"It's never too early to start on next years cards."
No truer words have been spoken. You'll have to tell me about this bow tie thingy. I'm new to that.
I love what you did with the MS Punch, that was a great idea. And great way to start for the next year.
Great card and even better since it's start on next year.
I can't believe you've already started on next year's cards. I still have almost 20 more to make for this year! I like that this has no stamping. Gives it a very clean look. I do see the "window" on the close up and I think it makes a nice backdrop to your wreath. If you don't think it shows enough though, you always have time to tweak the design within the next 375 days before Christmas 2010.
Beautiful card... love the wreath!!! And it's never too early to start a stash for next year!
I am not done with this year's cardmaking yet....- but love this design- I may have to Case your Case!!! Lovely!
simple yet very elegant.
