Summer Fun

How about a little summer fun today!  Yep, I thought I'd give you another Friday funny!  Maybe it'll put a smile on your face for the weekend....and hopefully everyone has a great weekend.  We're even going to do the ole BBQ bit on Sunday (but no, Jim and I don't dress like this to cook) and think this will make a cute invitation!   And believe it or not, summer is upon us.  We got up to 103 degrees one day last week!  So what better time to have a BBQ.

This stamp is from Art Impressions Stamps and I'll be using this card for their challenge this week which has the theme of "summer".  I colored this happy little couple with Prisma pencils and copics.  The sentiment is from Kitchen Sink Stamps.  Hey, I even cranked up the old sewing machine for this one and stitched around that patterned paper.  I'll also enter this in the challenge at My Time To Craft that has the theme of "very funny".....and these guys are really funny, but oh so cute!

Thanks for stopping by.............and have a great weekend.
Lynn

Hi Lynn,

I would love to come and Sure this image made me laugh for sure...
I love what is written on the man's apron and the way the lady is hiding the hamburger!

I had some friends over and they were admiring your card like crazy and I just felt so proud...

We are travelling next week and we have graduation ceremony before that... a bit hectic...

Have a pleasant weekend!

What a hoot!! That couple couldn't be any cuter!! Yikes on the BBQ in 100+ weather but I guess you are used to that by now being a Texas gal ; ) We usually don't get that kind of heat til mid summer and I'm not looking forward to it one bit.
Have a great BBQ!!
Hugs~

LOVE this one, Lynn! Too cute. Great coloring. Her hat is 'to die for'! LOL Even though we're supposed to have scattered showers this weekend, I plan to throw a few things onto the grill if the sun peeks out long enough.

go girl - that sewing is perfection!! I have tried sewing on a few cards......and let's just say - I'm using the 'squiggly' approach for now!! lol

Wow - 103 degrees!! Yikes! it's a GORGEOUS 73 degrees with a breeze today. Blue skies too!! just perfection here in CT. our pool was opened yesterday, but it's a puke green with tons of leaves in it. Won't be for a full week until Nolie is happily swimming in it!!!

Too cute! I'd love to see a pic with you in a pink hat like that :-). You've sent the hot weather here - it's been 99+ for all week and the forecast says 102 tomorrow.

Now this is a FUN card! I love those funny images and what you've done with them. Looks like Mamma is saving a big juicy burger for herself huh? Thanks for the chuckle, I hope you have a great BBQ tomorrow! We had temps in the 90s for 3 days and then last night it dipped into the 40s! Turn air on/open windows, turn air off, turn air on, turn air on, open windows, get out blankets, put blankets away, etc etc etc It's no wonder I'm in a constant state of confusion! LOL

Oh my goodness, this image makes me smile! Too cute! The sewing looks fantastic. Love the fun, summer color combo you used, too. Summr most certainly is here in Texas, eh? It doesn't look like there will be a break in this heat anytime soon either. I don't even think I can remember the last time it rained here. Yikes!
