My Name is Not SORRY

Time for another Funny Friday!!

A couple of years ago my husband had some very serious medical problems and due to his weakened condition and a bad back he decided to try using one of the scooters when we went to Walmart.  I got him all situated in it and we figured out how to operate the thing and off we went.  He did pretty good until he got to the first turn which happened to have a display rack there........wipe out!!  Ok, so I'm helping the clerk pick up everything and just kept saying "I'm sorry, I'm sorry"!  I turned around and hubby was no where in sight - went looking for him - and just followed the trail for things he had hit laying in the middle of the aisles.....At every stop, all I could say to the clerks as I was helping them straighten up was, I'm sorry!  Amazingly he'd only hit ONE person!  By the time I got him out of the store I felt like my name was SORRY!

This cute little image is from Just Inklined.  They have so many fantastic images to choose from.  I used one of the Label nesties and on the red strip used the stripe embossing folder from SU.
Of course this little card wouldn't be complete without a sassy little saying on the inside too.
I'll enter this in the Shopping Our Stash challenges (theme Humorous).

Hope this puts a smile on your face..........have a wonderful weekend.  Just a note:  I had company come in yesterday so I'll check back with everyone on Sunday or Monday.

Hi Lynn,

I like the way you take life with such great doses of humour... may you and your hubby always stay in good health for now and the future... we need you to keep making cards to make us laugh. Lol.
Yet again, this card made me laugh. The embossing looks so nice and red looks perfect. The man on the scootie is coloured in so well.

The sentiment is tooooooooo funny for words!!!!!!

What a hoot Lynn! The story goes perfectly with the card, by the way. Great image and colouring and I like how you've done the string down the separate colour... kind of an embellishment all it's own. Such a great sentiment too.

LOL!!!!!!!!!! I had the SAME experience with my mom and the scooter when we went to CHA in Orlando two years ago!!!!

She almost pulled down an ENTIRE display tent when her cane got caught in one of the poles!!!!!!!!!!

This image is perfect and the sentiment cracks me up!!!!!!!!!!

What a great way to start my day! Now to get through 175 items in my Google Reader!!!!

I love this fun card, Lynn! I had a similar experience with my mother-in-law. Her daughter and I had to chase her through a mall until her battery went dead! Then we got to push it and her back to the car!

I can TOTALLY relate to your husband's escapade in Walmart with those buggies! Before I had my hip replaced, I tried to use one - to make life "easier" my DH said! Those things are dangerous and VERY difficult to operate! Every time I stopped, the danged thing would start beeping and backing up until I shut it off! They're so touchy, you CANNOT turn corners slowly, so I gave up on them and hobbled around with a shopping cart just to play it safe! I never knocked anything down or hit anyone thank goodness!! LOL Great card, and a great story to go along with it!! LOL

I love that you can always laugh at moments like this! My Dad uses a scooter and we tease him that we're buying him an "AOOOOOOGA" horn so everyone can be warned when he's coming! He's been known to get a little crazy at times too! Your card is great! That plaid paper is perfect w/ this image!
