Git 'er Done

Two very quick "git 'er done" cards! I'm winding down on making all my Christmas cards and needed two really quickies to get in the mail.  Every year I say the same thing........  NEXT YEAR I will be done with all my Christmas cards early AND they will be super clean and simple with nothing on them that will require extra postage or having to be hand cancelled!  That means no bows, rhinestones, or anything to cause bulk!  Oh, and they WILL have a postage stamp on them!  Jim came in from getting the mail today with a handful of cards that I'd sent several days ago!!!!!  Duh, no stamp on them!!  Ok, so next year I WILL get my act together!

My first card is very similar to one I posted several days ago - but this one is done in red.  I used the Impression Obsession die for the tree.   On the second one I used a SU stamp that's been embossed in gold.  The frame around this was done with SU punches.  It was very hard to get a photo of this one due to the shine off the embossing powder.......and that's Night of Navy card stock.

Sorry I'm not going to have a Funny Friday tomorrow.....just too much going on right now to think about that.  Maybe next week.......

Thanks for stopping by............
Lynn

Love 'em both - CAS is classy always. And you made me laugh yet again about forgetting the stamps on the cards... Some of the things are do are just amazing. Today I was looking for an orange in the fridge - it was the only one left and I kept looking for it, wondering where the hell it had walked away. After a couple of moments, wisdom dawned on me when I noticed I was holding it in my hand. Lol.
Love,

Both are so pretty, but since red is my favorite color, I'm partial to the first one. I have about 10 git 'er done cards to make today or tomorrow. Thanks for the ideas.

I am laughing at your stamp story because I have SO DONE THAT! You're not alone :) I also think it's cute that you figure next week won't be as busy as this one. I'm at the stage right now where I keep thinking about how much I have to get done...so I go take a nap.
I love both these cards - the desert silhouette is so stunning!

Fabulous cards Lynn, I have been making my Christmas cards all year through and found out that I was 12 cards short, so mine will be very cas indeed.

These are beautiful Lynn!! I will say it again, I LOVE that Christmas Tree die!!
I'm with you... on the very CAS next year! The post office was a zoo yesterday and all of my cards required extra postage and the hand-cancelled stamp, not a fun day!lol

I'm dying with laughter over you mailing cards without stamps! I can't tell you how many times I've done that myself!! DERrrrrr :)
I love that tree die with the tiny star on top, and the red looks sensational on that white background. Gorgeous sentiment too! The 2nd card looks so regal embossed in gold on navy! NJ on both!

Lynn, Both of these are so very beautiful. Great job on the cards, and your gold did show up very well indeed it did. I've been taking my envelopes to the P.Office asking them to chk postage, so that I don't get returns. Last year, one never got delivered, returned to me in Jan. I'm trying hard not to duplicate that event again. Also being careful with embellishments & sizes. I'm ahead of where I usually am at this point in time, but -- LOL...still behind! Got a few more 'special' ones to get together. Thanks for sharing & many hugs.

Wonderful classy CAS cards Lynn - now I know I am in good company - I have had the same experience with 'stampless' mail.

Both of these may be in your git 'r done category, but they are pretty nonetheless! Love that die cut tree!

I love gold embossing for Christmas, especially when paired with a dark CS background. Both of these are beautifully simple, Lynn, and could be trademark cards of yours. :-D That tree done in red with the gingham ribbon is marvelous!

That beautiful tree is lovely in red too and you're Wise Men are so elegant in the gold and Navy. I've sent my share of cards without stamps too! It was so nice having my cards done early this year. Last year I was frantically trying to finish the cards at this point. I think most of them were delivered after Christmas!

Funny - no stamps!!!! Sounds like me-totally! I just filled up the tea kettle and walked away...I'm famous for filling it up - then not turning on the kettle - and then get annoyed with the KETTLE for not boiling! DUH.
Love the cards - the cuts - and never would have thought to powder emboss that image - wow - it is stunning!

Here's to next year's cards!

Lynn, I'm so sorry I'm behind on commenting. I've been trying to clean my craft room and you know what that means - - - not a spare minute to anything else. I haven't even check the computer for two days. Both of these cards are lovely and I'm sure the recipients will love them. You made me laugh about the no postage story. I did that just on one card - my MIL's. I swear it was not done on purpose.
