I'll Be Dog Gone

Thought I'd show you a fun card I made over the weekend.  This is going to be from Rambo to Jim for Father's Day.  I tried to get a tiny little heart on here somewhere but no matter where I put it, it just didn't look right.....so I added one to the inside with a "Happy Father's Day" message.

I felt like giving our precious little Rambo away yesterday.  The title of this post pretty well explains the reason.  Someone (not naming names but Jim is the only other person living here) left one of the gates to the backyard partially open and off to play Rambo went!  He'd been gone at least 30 minutes when I finally realized he wasn't around anywhere.  So, off we went searching.  Now this is not fun right now since it's not only hot but we have a humidity rating of about 95!!!!  I finally found the little s--- about a half mile from the house with his tongue hanging out and unable to move he was so exhausted!  My tongue was hanging out too by the time I got him home!

I used several stamps from Critters in the Dog Park set from Lawn Fawn along with one of matching dies.
I'll enter this in the challenge at CAS(e) this Sketch .

Thanks for stopping by.................and hope everyone has a great day!

Oh poor Rambo, I'm sure he just got mixed up and thought he was following you! Love today's card! The fire hydrant really makes it 'dog approved'!

Look at this little one running right toward his Dad for Father's Day, unlike Rambo who ran the opposite direction. This card is darling and I am sure Jim will get a big kick out of it. I know what you felt like yesterday. A couple of times over the past 12 years someone has left our gate open and Molly beats it out the gate before anyone can notice. I go totally ballistic. She is usually only two houses away but I get so frightened. Daisey, on the other hand, will stand just inside the gate and look at you as if to say "I'm the good one, I didn't leave". They are something, aren't they. Enjoy your day and tell Rambo the grass is NOT greener outside the yard.

Love you card Lynn - and your story had me smiling - that's one of the reasons I have a cat - they generally don't 'run', although our current one has been know to come for a walk with us!

You already know how much I love this adorable stamp set, so the card won me over instantly! Poor Rambo, and even poorer YOU for having to frantically worry about him being gone! I'm SO thankful you found him and he was OK! Whew! Stuff happens but your heart stops beating until you find your lost dog!! All turned out well and you have a great card for father's day :)

Oh another dog cutie. Love these. Poor Rambo...little did he know when he scarpered off to play. I can imagine the anxiety ya'll were feeling as you hunted him in the heat. Glad you found him, and no lasting ill effects incurred by anyone. At one time or another, they ALL do it (owners & dogs!!! LOL). Hugs

Oh Lynn, how trying that must have been to look for Rambo. Anyway as they say all is well that ends well even though your tongues were hanging out... lol. This card is so cute and perfect for the challenge. The doggie is coloured in real well.

oh my gosh! kids & pets they DEFINITELY know how to pick their moments!!! arrrrgh!!! i hate to say it, but the humidity maybe worked in your favor... imagine how far he could've got if he'd not been a "hot dog"!! Your card is so cute Lynn. I am sure that Rambo's Dad will love it. What a scare that must have been for you to be out looking for Rambo. Who was glad to see who the most.

How scary!!!!!! Thank GOD he was found safe!!! It's the worst when they get out! My new foster dog can fit through the slats in my fencing so he's on leash ALL the time out back!

Now the card is simply awesome!! He does ruff you both for sure!!!
