A Bit of Energy

After doing all the shower invitations I finally seem to have a little bit of energy and desire to make a card again.  Whew!  Not much, but it's a start anyway.

Using some patterned paper from DCWV and My Minds Eye, butterfly die from Impression Obsession, sentiment from Simon Says Stamp, a couple of sequins, and some twine I created this simple card for a birthday.  The sentiment was pretty tiny compared to the rest of the card but I used it anyway because I liked it - in other words, because I wanted to!

The sketch I used is from Tuesday Morning Sketches and I dearly love it!  Just my speed!  I'll enter this in their challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.......
Lynn

I LOVE the way the twine mimics the subtle background and the pink stands out against it all! I like that sentiment too and I think it was a perfect choice!

This is so pretty Love the way you looped the twine and made all the more special with that swirled background paper.

The banner and your butterfly are so pretty and so precious!

That's a really nice butterfly, and the darker shade of pink underneath shows it off perfectly!! The way you twirled the twine behind it perfectly carries the dsp theme through! Well done!

Fantastic, Lynn! I love, love, LOVE that background paper with all the circles on it. Great butterfly. One of these days you're going to have to show me how you get the twine into loops like that. I've tried it a couple of times, having been inspired by what you do, but it just 'un-loops' on me. There must be an adhering secret. :-D

You really rocked this card Lynn - love it, and the tiny sentiment 'fits' and does not take the attention from that fabulous butterfly and twine.

The sentiment size is JUST FINE! I liked it! It's very subtle and the eye is drawn to that gorgeous butterfly. Am liking the thread decorating too. I'm seeing that on so many blogs, and it's really pretty with this striking butterfly. Then I rove my eyes down to see the sweet sentiment. Love that background paper too. WTGo. Happy wkend, and Hugs. TFS
