Scooting by with a fun card to take everyone into the weekend.
I finally decided this week that I'm so far behind the times it's pathetic. What can I say - I'm old! There's not a single technique used on this other than maybe using Copics, so it's just a card.
When I first started making cards it was all about layers. The more you could pile on, the better. Then dies appeared everywhere - still a rage. Next came clean and simple, stencils, and then the watercolor bang hit! Whoa! I wonder what's next. I did use a die on this for the sun and grass, but other than that, it's just a card. That's it.....bottom line......just a card.
Every time I looked at this AI stamp I'd smile because it appeared the cat was startled by something behind it (or maybe it's mama's driving). I decided to put a little doxie (from There She Goes) behind the scooter because I can just see that kitty hoping the dog doesn't get too close. With mama driving though I doubt that will happen.
Anyway, a fun card to take you into the weekend.
Thanks for stopping by.......
Lynn

What a fun card! Love the image, especially the addition of the little dog. You might not have used lots of trendy techniques, but it's still a brilliant card. x
This card is just darling!
Hugs,
Chrissy Lou
I have all my faith in Mama's driving to keep Rambo (oh I meant the doxie) from getting at that cat. LOL It is a GREAT Just a Card. Have a good weekend.
Awww this is so cute Lynn! I love that super fun image and how you've added the doxie to the scene, fab polka dot sun also!

Your thought process in putting this card together is so much fun! I love the little doxie grinning at the cat! It's as if he's saying - I've been there and Momma's gonna crash! LOL Totally fun and cute card!
Ah this is just the most fun Lynn, way more than Just a card!! I love that pink scooter. Hey maybe thats Rambo making sure the kitty doesnt try to invade his territory :)
Oh Lynn! This is so much more then "just a card"!! It is a work of art! I love the 'devil may care' attitude of that Mama has on her face! You colored it beautifully!
Ha Ha! This is great! I especially like Rambo bringing up the rear! I have visions of this lady on her pink scooter, driving down the street where my hubby wants to move us to! LOL! Nice work, Lynn.
And WOW, what a card it is! Truly Lynn, this isn't just a card, it is a work of art. I love this image and I love how you have colored it up, you color so well with those Copics! I also love that you put the doxie on, it really does look like the cat is hoping that little doxie stays put. lol Could that sweet little doxie be Rambo?! I am really loving this card my friend. It makes me smile and who doesn't need something this cute to make them smile?! Happy weekend!! Hugs, Brenda
Oh my! This sure made me chuckle, she looks fabulous! I hope you and Jim, mustn't forget Rambo either are well!

This is so fun, Lynn! I love the look on the cat's face! The doxie seems pleased with himself haha! The lady looks like she's having a blast! Nothing wrong with your "just a card". I enjoyed reading about all of the various trends that have come and gone - I still like to do all of those things from time to time!
This isn't a just a card! This is a fantastic, fun card! We need to stick with what's fun for us. That's what a hobby is for. Have a great rest of the weekend!
Well, as others have said in their comments before me.
It is definitely more than "Just a card!" I don't think you would know how to make "just a card". This card (and your other cards) are always so well designed and creative!) and cute too.
Wow! What a fun card. Love the cute image and how you placed that little doggie. Hugs, Maggie
This is such a fun and cute card! Love that it's a single layer. Great coloring on the images too.
You might say 'it's just a card' Lynn but it's not... it's another of your creative designs. Adding the sun and especially the little doxie is so cute. It's never just a card... never!
I think this is so cute, Lynn!! I love the scene you created and adding the dog was a great idea :)
Lynn this made me smile, and boy do i need that at the moment so thank you :) Love the little doxie you have added, it works perfectly.
I know what you mean about card trends, they change so much will be interesting too see whats next.
Hope you had a good weekend xx
Oh my gosh this is just the cutest thing ever Lynn!! Made me laugh!! :) I love that little DOXIE peeking in at the edge!! Too cute!! Your coloring looks fabulous and your "just a card" is amazing my friend!! I'm right there with you on all of these fads that come and go in crafting...it's hard to keep up with it all!! Hope you are well!! HUGS
Looks like Rambo is chasing them both! Fun card and great design and colors!
Haha this is delightful! So much fun in this card :) Looks like Rambo peeking in back there!
missus, you don't need no tricks or gimmicks or latest & greatest b/c you are a CARD ARTIST! you've got the eye and the patience and the coloring skillz (!!!) and your "just a cards" are cooler than 99% of the trendy stuff out there. "just a card" HA!!! just totally AWESOME more like! ♥♥♥
I think this card is fab love the image and it's simplicity- layered cards are good for some occaisions but the simpler the better is good - all the best Lesley x
How fun- the look on that cat's face is great, and love the doxie you dded. I love this fun image...... You are so right, lots of trends- did you catch the crimping trend?
What a fun image(s). Love the cheerfulness and fun of this card - totally makes me smile. Fun!!!! Hugz

Lynn, you are not far behind and you are NOT old. I take offense at your criticism of yourself. Your cards stand out all the time even though they are flat. And flat cards are atleast practical and easy in the post. I have often been told off at creating all those layers and three dimensional stuff as it is impractical in the post and expensive as well.
I AM A BIG FAN OF YOUR CARDS so cannot hear such kind of harsh stuff.
Love,
M
