A Little Late

Believe it or not, I'm back - at least for today.   Yes, I'm still alive, but no, not kicking even a little tiny bit I'm afraid.  During the last couple of years taking care of Jim, everyone kept telling me to be sure and take care of myself too, but being the crazy old fool that I can sometimes be, I failed to listen.  Live and learn the hard way I guess and now I'm paying the price.   After being in the horse-pital for almost a week you have a tendency to lose your humor really fast but it's starting to come back in spurts - at least a little bit.   Going to take a while for me to get mobile again but I'm working on it.    Jim's walker, recliner and I are now BEST buds and none of us are liking this at all - but such is life right now.

This is one of the cards I made before I cratered and since Halloween is already come and gone I figured I'd post it and then see about getting it mailed - or save for next year!  The stamp is from Art Impressions.

I'll be back when I can and will also be back to commenting when I can.  Just a little slow going right now but will try and get back soon.

Thanks for stopping by..........and also thanks for a all the sweet cards and well wishes.
Lynn

OMG, this is just what I needed this morning to make me chuckle! I've never seen this image before, but it's hilarious and I LOVE it!! Your sense of humor is still solidly in tact Lynn :) Sorry you're still laid up, but welcome to the club I say :) It's been a tough time for a lot of us recently but hopefully you're on the mend and will soon be flying with the best of the old bats :)

I can tell that this "old bat" is quite a bit more mobile than you right now, but that is OK. Hopefully you'll be up and around soon and fly right past her. Don't try it too soon though. I think you need to listen to all of us this time. Actually I think you HAVE to listen to us this time. It is nice to see that you feel good enough to post, though. We do miss seeing your great cards. Good thoughts coming your way.

Sending up a little prayer for your recovery, Lynn! May it be quick and complete!! If there is one thing I have learned in my 65th year, it is that getting old is not for sissies!

I love your fabulously fun Halloween card!

I'm utterly impressed to see you blogging at all, Lynn! You are a tough cookie and that's going to mean you'll be kicking it again before you know it! Just like the old bat on your card ... which I love to bits! Don't be on the computer too long at a time (listen this time, lol!) which means don't worry about leaving me comments. You just get better! Hugs to Rambo and you! Darnell

Keeping you in my prayers, Lynn. I know being in the hospital was no fun. Love seeing you post something again. Unfortunately, I'm mostly sidelined (other than a bunch of DT work I had done ahead) recovering from an elbow surgery to re-attach a tendon. No crafting for a few weeks and typing is very time consuming so my comments will be scarce for a while, too. :-D

Nice to see a post, Lynn! It's amazing you were able to create this gorgeous and detailed card while being 'out' - I couldn't make this if I wasn't injured! Here's to you feeling better soon ♥

Well dang it, Lynn.... that was sure not the reporting in we would have liked. Please try and feel your old self. I have collected AI stamps for years and I think this is on of my favorite newer ones. She is a riot, my friend.

Lynn you just worry about getting better so you can give up that walker and recliner. I think as women, we tend to all be just like you and just do what we gotta do until we crash and burn. We can't do it all, but we try. Well now you just get well because we miss you and we care about you! When you are better we will love to see more of your creations, but for now you just take it easy. This card cracked me up Lynn, I just love this old lady on this card, too cute!!!! I need her to make my Halloween cards to send out next year. Even though I didn't send any out this year. lol Big hugs, Brenda

Enjoyed this card yesterday, but not time to comment. I'm so glad you had this ready, to keep a smile on your face, as you & your current best buds navigate what is in place for you all just now. I'm pleased to see you still have a strong sense of humor, and admire that. You've been through a lot, so at least you're still able to chuckle over a few things. Hang in there, keep on being 'good' about what you have to do. Wonderful job on this cutie. Take care, TFS & Hugs too.

Oh Lynn, your humour is still there and I thank God for it.

I could not answer your email as I was down with an awful headache for three days and every time I wanted to send you an email, something or the other came in my way. Not that you were not in my thoughts.

Now to your card, it is so very funny and cute. You are one of the funniest people I have met in blogland and your sense of humour too.

Hoping for you to mend soon and I know you will,

Monica
