Fall

Wouldn't you love to have your Radio Flyer wagon again - or maybe you still have it!  I remember mine.  We'd tie a strings around lizards necks and take them for rides in it...............Back in the dark ages for sure.  Now we'd be turned in for animal abuse.

This is an image from Impression Obsession that I've had for a long time.  It's called Wagon (SHU:H1884). I try to use it every fall because it's so neat looking.  I colored the rocks in the background a little too dark for my taste, but it's done and will still be ok for a card.  It's mounted on some very dark green polka dotted paper.  Looks almost black in the photo.  I added a strip of orange paper and then the frame piece and some twine.

I'll enter this in the challenge at Impression Obsession (Harvest Treats).

Thanks for stopping by...........
Lynn

I never had a wagon Lynn I had a potato box with wheels on the front and used it like a wheel barrow..lol..my cat was put in there and there she stayed all wrapped up in blankets..she was a good cat, and that box was a good box.

Love your fabulous wagon image and colouring, great card design and papers, all round a good card..[lol]..

A beautiful card, Lynn. I've never heard of a Radio Flyer Wagon, although it brought back memories of the go-carts my brother and his friends used to make, using old bicycle wheels and bits of wood. xx

Oh Lynn, I love this card! I love that image! It is so cool and yes, what we wouldn't give to have our childhood wagons back again. lol I used to take my wagon to a hill in the neighborhood and would sail down the hill inside of the wagon. I love how you took the lizards for a ride. lol Yes, today you would get be turned in for animal abuse. I played with so many critters when I was a kiddo. lol I love the design of this card and will have to make a sketch of it as it is so cool! Hugs, Brenda

Lynn, Your coloring is incredible on this image! I don't think the rocks are too dark at all. They work so well to make the red of the wagon "pop." Love how you did the offset frame.
I do remember Radio Flyer wagons but my memory of them is a bit different. For Christmas one year, both my brother and my closest cousin got red wagons. I wanted one so badly and they wouldn't let me play with either one of them. They had me convinced that only boys could play with wagons. But when my cousin's family left that day to go home, they had so much to take with them that they couldn't fit his wagon into their car. They had to make a separate trip the next day to pick it up. During the time it was at our house, I loaded all my dolls into it and took them for ride after ride. :D Thanks for the memory!

This is a wonderful card! Growing up in a family of 14 we had several wagons like this . It was the way we moved the smaller children from one place to another . This brings back lovely memories .

Hugs,

Gorgeous litle scene, Lynn, and beautifully coloured! I never had a Radio Flyer wagon but my older brother did. I think I received rides in it... or maybe he made me pull him around in it! Haha, who can remember?!
