The Behind-er

Not sure if it was all the pink or if my computer screen is awfully dirty, but can't seem to get a good picture of this one.  Tired of dealing with it so.......... Anyway...............

My dad always used to say -  the further I go the behind-er I get.  If that's not me lately nothing is.  The neck issue is somewhat better but not normal - whatever that is.  I can do a little at a time though so that's good I suppose.  But, as a result I seem to be getting behind-er on everything I do.  Still plugging away though.

This is one of four birthday cards I need for the month.  Got this one done for the sister in law.  One out of four isn't bad.    Don't you just love that sentiment!  We reach a "certain age" and trust me, you know what I'm talking about when it comes to velcro shoes.  Even better is probably flip flops you can just slide into, but sometimes you have to "dress up"!  After the shoes all you have to do is put a dab of Ben Gay behind the ears and on the wrists and you're ready to paint the town red.  LOL!

The image is from Art Impressions and sentiment from Taylored Expressions.  The background was done with a stencil and distress inks and coloring on the image with Copics and a while gel pen.

I'll enter this in the challenge at Taylored Expressions - Send a Card to a Friend (this will go in the mail tomorrow!) and Addicted to Clean and Simple - Ombre.

Thanks for stopping by...........
Lynn

I can see we have the same sense of humor, Lynn. This card is a hoot! I love the sentiment and the image is perfect with it. The stenciled background looks good with her and her outfit cracks me up. I laughed out loud when I saw this, so thanks for a great start to my day.

I am already in barefoot mode because I only wear shoes when I leave the house LOL This is hilarious and I love the stenciled background with this hot momma image! Too much fun! My Grandparents always said the hurrier I go the behinder I get - I thought it was a PA Dutch proverb but perhaps not! I can no longer hurry up, so I just keep getting behinder as I go LOL Keep smiling, it's better than cryin' :)

OMGoodness, this is so funny! And I feel your pain too... especially this week as I'm recovering from Aspirate Pneumonia from swallowing a pill wrong of all things! It is kicking my butt for sure, and I'm seriously behind-er!!! Thanks for giving me a reason to smile as I really needed it today!

Love the card and sentiment too Lynn - I can still (thankfully) tie my laces, but slip on shoes/slipper, and flip flops and the like are wonderful!!

I've gone beyond the velcro and only go with slip-ons now. I love this fun card with the fun sentiment and stenciled background. Hope your neck continues to heal.

I believe her name is Eunice and I adore her. I would like to say she is my "spirit animal"! Next step is velcro for me... I already wear slip on bungee sneakers! Well done. There are a few brands of stamps I will never part with, and one is my collection of Art Impressions!

What a cute image and card! Love the sentiment, and I guess I am in trouble because I do have a pari of velcro shoes. I mostly wear them when I go to the doctors office! (They come in handy when they want you to hop on the scale)...and it seems I go more to the doctors these days...so I guess I wear them more than I thought!

I love that sentiment, Lynn, (probably because I'm sure I'll be in Velcro shoes by my birthday next month)! Great coloring and I really like that stenciled background. :-D

I love this card Lynn! I think you got a great photo of it. I love the stenciled background, but it is the lady and the sentiment that cracks me up. Why? Because I'm to the point where I need either velcro or flip flops. I go with the flip flops here, or slip on's in the winter if I don't walk out the house in flip flops. lol Hugs, Brenda
