Fun Friday - Pumping Iron (Sorta)

Ok, so some of us are in self isolation, self quarantine, sheltered in place, staying at home, or on house arrest (yikes - not really I hope).  Anyway, it's Friday and most people need a little fun in their life today I think.

I've been staying at home/self isolation/banned from leaving the house by the kids......and I decided that instead of just sitting around all day long, we needed to do a little exercise.  (Quit laughing)!  Anyway, the oldest granddaughter who is in college is now back home for online classes due to the university shutting down.  The granddaughter who is in the 7th grade is also at home for online classes due to her school shutting down.  And last but not least, my daughter, who is a principal, is also doing the online deal making sure all the teachers do whatever they're suppose to be doing online...........so..............(Lots of online stuff going on here as you can see)

I think the two granddaughters have a daily contest to see who can sleep the longest and I determined that needed to stop and we all needed to get moving up here.  Ok, so the youngest gets out the computer and puts it on some online exercise class.  What a frigging joke this is!!!!!  The instructor or whoever she is looks like she weighs about 90 pounds soaking wet - and can bend anything on her body. They really should have normal people doing this type of thing.

Ok - we all line up.  The two girls in the front, my daughter, and then the two dogs and I dragging up the rear.  We start doing all these fun little kicks and jumps and I'm actually doing fairly good (for an elderly person).  And then...........she says everyone has to get down on the floor and do a couple of pushups.  HA!  I get down on the floor, the dogs think this is best time ever and start licking me all over, I almost get one push up done, and then she says lets all get up again and do some jumping jacks.  Oh PLEASE!  I just got down on the floor.  So the two granddaughters and my daughter finally get me up back into a standing position.  I'm so tired now I can't even move - so I head to the couch and watch them sweat.  SO MUCH EASIER!!!  I've told them all they can now sleep as late as they want around here!

Thanks for stopping by...........and have a laid back weekend!
Lynn

Hahaha, I can just picture it! Sounds like you had fun! I do some YouTube workouts occasionally but I pick easy ones based on walking and I also do QiGong. Here during the pandemic we're allowed to go outdoors to walk (for exercise, no socializing) so we've been going almost daily, only held back by the weather. But I absolutely LOVE your card! Fit Kitty is not so fit any more so I can definitely relate! Stay healthy!

Ha Ha, Lynn. Great card, and I sure needed that chuckle this morning! If my body hits the floor, you can be certain they will be calling for help! WTG, and proud of you for trying. Have a great indoors weekend!

I love that image and that sentiment. Your story had me laughing and I know how you feel. If I got down on the floor it would take paramedics to get me back up! Fun cards are my favorite and we need those right now.

A lot of the parents around here are complaining that they can't get their teens out of bed. Most are home schooling. I tell them to keep teenager hors, start teaching around 10:00PM and go until 2:00AM. LOL

Have you ever tried "Walk Away the Pounds"? It is really fun.

Your card is so cute!

Hugs,
Chriss

Bwahahahaha!!! I'm with you on the couch, trust me! Vacuuming is all the exercise I can tolerate these days with a good dusting here and there! No sweat, but at least I'm moving! LOL This card is so much fun and I can totally relate. I'm getting a mental picture of you all exercising and I'm right there on the couch watching it all! *wink* Have a great weekend and keep smiling ;)

Oh Lynn, that had me laughing so hard I ended up coughing.... makes me think I had better not watch the free exercise programme that is being aired on national TV on weekday mornings, starting Monday!!
Loving your card - that bunny certainly looks a bit like you must have been feeling after your workout!
We are in national lock down, and I had been self isolating before that, so any humour like this is very welcome
Stay safe
