Funky Flower Power

The challenge this week over at Dude Time Doodles is a sketch challenge. However, this week is a little different in that it's a Sketch challenge - but anything goes.....as long as it has a flower on it! Not so hard, right? Here's the kicker though....since it's for the "dudes" in your life, it must be a MASCULINE card - with a flower somewhere!!! Check out Dude Time Doodles and link up your project today. Be sure and pop over to all the DT creations and be prepared to be inspired! You can find their blogs on my sidebar. Our wonderful sponsor this week is Raindrop Echo and they are offering a fabulous prize of either a set of 3 digital sentiments, a custom watermark, or a custom signature. Wonderful, right!! In fact, if you'll notice on my card, I'm using one of the super watermarks from their store. They have so many to choose from and I know you'll like everything you see.

There's a WHOLE LOT going on with this card - maybe even a little too much - so that's why it's titled "Funky". So, where's the focal point! Well, I'd like to think it's this cute, cute little image called Hippie Rocker that you can find in the Dude Time Doodles store. I added some glitter to make the guitar shine some, embossed the green background, layered up some patterned paper, added the cut out flowers from the DP, wrapped some Baker's twine around the middle panel and added a peace symbol charm! Whew....as I said, a lot going on!

Thanks for stopping by..........and be sure and check out the challenge at Dude Time Doodles.

Like wow, man... hahahah... fun image & the sentiment & peace sign are perfect. The flowers are also a nice touch - you wouldn't think they would being as how it's a guy card, but they work so well. Later Dude....

Fabulous Lynn. Wish I could say I never dressed like that or knew someone who did, but. . .!
Love the signature watermark.

Flowers on a masculine card would stump me, but those are just too perfect! A little funky and fun without being all girly. Great job!

Dude....I love the layout, the image and those masculine flowers!!! That guy just makes me want to say 'dude'!! lol

Well, I'm trying to update people on their blog instead of mine. Our trip with Haylee didnt go well :*( The place wasn't what it promised to be and after spending quite a few hours there (compared to a 1/2 hour when we brought Skip there) we saw things in a new light. So, we drove all the way up and drove all the way back and brought her with us. Now we are looking for a new sanctuary....keep your fingers crossed. Thanks for the good thoughts!

I looked at all the DT cards when I was trying to figure out what to do with this "flower" challenge, and I just giggled out loud when I saw this one! Too fantastic. Perfect flowers for that generation! I think I dated Hippie Rocker about 45 years ago!! LOL
