Accidents Happen

I was in my craft area today just blowing and going on what I thought was going to be the cutest little card.  I had a FULL glass of coke sitting right next to me and as I reached for something knocked it over....As it's spilling all down one side of my 6 foot long table, I sat it up and then knocked it the other direction!   UGH!!!  My cute little card I was working on (and everything else) was soaked!  While cleaning up I found this image that I'd colored a while back and it actually escaped all that coke.......so I grabbed it and created this very simple CAS card.........

I used some Night of Navy and some unknown pink textured card stock.  The image is from Pots, Plant, and Posies and the sentiment from Everyday Sayings - both by Hero Arts.  The image is colored with Prisma pencils.  The tiny little butterfly is from the Beautiful Wings die (SU) and I added a tiny pearl to its body.

I'll enter this in the challenge at The Paper Players....theme of  "Kind Thanks".

And yes, THANKS for stopping by..............
Lynn

Oh Gees Lynn, I'm so sorry to hear of your mishap while crafting! I learned a long time ago not to eat or drink while I'm crafting, because I HATE when these things happen! Ah well, your card turned out great! I love the little window scene :)

Oh no! That's why I never drink anything unless it's in my covered cup!!! EEEK! So sorry you had a mishap, but your cute little card is just wonderful! Thanks for playing with the Paper Players this week, too!

You know what o keep doing? Smearing the chapstick or vaseline off my lips and onto my images, paper, etc. That stuff leaves marks! Glad you were able to still make a really cute card after your accident!

Oh no! I have to admit that I've done that before too. At least not everything got destroyed. Beautiful colouring of this image. Thanks for playing along with The Paper Players this week.

Lynn! Such a crafting tragedy (and I have done that too!) but out of your mess comes a beautiful card! So glad you found the image to make a sweet card (no pun intended!) Thanks for playing with us this week at the Paper Players!

coke= sweet= way too sticky mess. Is it all clean? I bet there are still spots somewhere, this happens to me ALL THE TIME (I am very clumsy, like over the top) so I know no matter how much you clean it, there is still some left behind!

You have used such a lovely pink with navy, it totally socks. I like the image too, lucky you, you this was saved!

Let's hope your accident results in a new way to distress paper.
Love your card, the pink against the navy is striking and such pretty coloring.

OK, guess I would start to tear up first, then maybe *%!@#. You did a great job recovering with the very pretty card, love the image and the colors. (I did that once and now have my drinks in travel mugs :) ) Have a great weekend and stay cool.

Hopefully you can salvage some of the soaked stuff and make it into something new. Love your card and the little butterfly is a wonderful touch.

I craft at our kitchen table and often find peanut butter smears and unknown sticky stuff that magically appears after I have washed the table... At least you managed to have a beautiful card surface through your coke mishap! Your flowers seem to jump off the card! Lovely color combination!

I'm always afraid this will happen! It would have ruined my mojo for the day. Good for you for moving forward and creating another awesome card.

Don't ya hate that? I know I do, my space is now so small and cramped I probably couldn't get a coke on it... Thank goodness cuz I would do the same. This card is very sweet and I love the CAS of it.

Aw, I"m sorry about your first card! I've done that, too, and it's terrible, lol. But the beauty of this one sure makes up for it - love the navy, great choice to showcase the sweet image! Hope your weekend is going wonderful!

Oh no, Lynn!!! That is terrible! I know that I am just asking for the same thing one of these days with the can of Diet Dr. Pepper that is always on my workspace. :( What a pretty card you created, despite the disaster. Your image is colored beautifully and I love that sheer ribbon. Thanks for playing along with the Paper Players, too! Hugs! :)

Happy accident afterall if it resulted in this card. :-) Terrific image and that pink and blue is a perfect color combination. Love the bow -- but then, I'm always impressed with the perfection of your bows! :-)

Sorry you had a mishap - especially with coke! Now if it had been Pepsi...who'd care?
BUT you DID find this little sweetie - see they were right all those years ago in the commerical: "Have a coke and a smile".
