What is This

A new challenge starts today at {Pin}inspirational and we have a yummy looking photo for your inspiration.  Be sure and check out the blog for all the inspiration from the DT - and enter your creation for a chance to win a wonderful prize package from our sponsor, Beccy's Place.

Oh, and don't forget, {Pin}spirational Challenge is having a Design Team call right now.  Check out the blog for all the details on that.

When I saw the {Pin}spirational inspiration photo for this week, I was completely stumped on what it was!!  It looked similar to a cupcake (although I've seen more attractive cupcakes before) or a Bundt Cake (but way too small for that).  Ok, hey, maybe it's some type of chocolate candy covered in icing?.........No!  Thanks to all the sweet ladies on the DT, they informed me it was a Figgy Pudding!!!!  Now you gotta remember I live out here in the boonies in Texas - so I can honestly saw I had no clue what they were talking about!  After "googling" Figgy Pudding, I decided it just might be pretty tasty!  Has anyone ever eaten it or made it before?

Anyway, here's the inspiration photo - there's a lot of you do with this inspiration - how about a cupcake, cake, chocolate, Christmas holly, colors......etc....Let your imagination run wild and enter!  Looks rather yummy doesn't it!

I'll be back in a few minutes with my Shopping Our Stash challenge (still thinking about Christmas) - so see you then.....at least I say I will.  Blogger and I aren't getting along too good since the time change and it doesn't seem to want to post my cards as scheduled.  We'll just have to see what happens!

Thanks for stopping by..............
Lynn

Well I must be in the boonies also (not really) but I never heard of a Figgy Cake. It is different looking. Well you did a fabulous job with your Figgy Cakes. Love that "JOY" sentiment and your ribbon. This is a fun, cheery card. Well I was just going downstairs to make breakfast, but now I seem to want something gooey instead of something healthy, Thanks, Lynn. LOL

You are rocking out these Christmas cards in such a fantastic way! I love your take on the photo, with those snowflakes and red, white, & green colors! Speaking of snow.......we may get some in the next couple of days with yet another storm due to hit tomorrow! Winter is coming early!

I have seen these and have eaten them. My dad called them "Figgy Puddings" like in the upteenth verse of the Christmas song, "We Wish You a Merry Christmas." Anyway, fab card and you really did get Figgy Puddings on it. Wonderful ribbon!

Love your card and how the colors pop, but I've never heard of a figgy cake either. (It's obviously not a Southern thing!)

I would have thought it was a baby bundt cake. I've never had figgy pudding. I'll bet it's good. Anyway, your card is as delicious looking as the pudding! Mmmm Mmmm!

I've heard of figgy pudding, and even seen it in the grocery store, but I haven't tried it. The grocery store version does NOT look delicious like this one!
Love the layout of your card - and the gingham ribbon is the perfect addition!

You really hit the mark on your inspiration with your card. Great interpretation. I've heard of Figgy Pudding...never had it. Wonder if it's like Plum Pudding? We'll have to ask our British friends. Bet they would know! Looks right tasty, though, doesn't it? TFS

My favorite rendition of the Christmas song with Figgy Pudding - is done by the Muppers (Miss Piggy gets a little crazed!)
Cute card - fun inspiration!
I live in the boonies of Iowa - have never tasted Figgy Pudding - only new of it because of the song We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

Fun!!!

Lynn, this is so pretty! I love the festive colors on the white background and that snowflake is so pretty!

I only know figgy pudding from the song We Wish You a Merry Christmas, but can honestly say I thought it was more like a bowl of pudding, not a pretty little cupcake/bonbon looking creation!
