Thinking of Fall

I'm STILL not sure where I thought I was going with this card!  No earthly idea! It doesn't even shimmer or shine or anything and so totally "not me"!

When this stamp set from SU (French Foliage) first came out I saw so many pretty cards with it and figured I HAD to have it!  Um.....it's never been used until now!  I sponged a bit, stamped some orange-y and blue type colors, added the sentiment and Spice Frantage...... and then because it was looking so plain decided to add the dew drops and twine!  There again - it sure didn't look like what I thought it was going to look.  Does anyone else have flubs like this or is it just me???  PLEASE tell me it's not just me!  LOL!

Anyway, that's it for today - and it's back to the drawing board now.

Thanks for stopping by........
Lynn

It may not have come out as you imagined, but I think it came out great. I like that you added the Frantage and twine. Both of them really pulled it all together. Don't be so hard on yourself. At least you were able to salvage it, many of mine cannot be saved no matter what I try.
Enjoy your day.

Lynn, trust me this is FABULOUS. It is so classy and lovely. The twine looks perfect and adds life to it and so do the rhine stones. I LOVE it. Dainty and graceful.
Love,

This is a FLUB? I could only WISH to flub like this. I seriously took a quick breath when I saw this! I think it is stunning! It is everything that is autumn. Rough twine, spatters of color, skeletonized leaves, misty mornings, crisp dew. You GOT it! Love love love!
But I do know what you mean - sometimes I swear - cards have a mind of their own. And what ends up on the card is not even close to the image in my mind...

I say a work of art!! Love how you did the BG collage and perfect for the sentiment! Your dew drops and the twine are the perfect touches. Your going was good!!!!

Well, I absolutely love it, Lynn! Every single detail of it! I think it could be another entry in the CASology country challenge, too! Good job using that NBUS set. I have it and now that I think about it, I'm not sure I've ever inked it either, so I'm pinning this card to inspire me!! Hugs, Darnell

Oh I like it! I really like the color you used for the stamp. You are too hard on yourself! If I could make a card like this; I would be thrilled!

It may not be what you envisioned, or particularly like 'you', Lynn, but I think it is great! Love the way you have left the centre open enough for the sentiment to really shine, and then empahsised it with the twine.

If this is a flub, I can't imagine how fabulous the one in your head would look! I think the leaves and inks are beautiful! Such a wonderful fall card!

First, this is so gorgeous...yes, different from your usual style, but so soft & pretty just the same. I don't think it's a flub at ALL! (You read Flub at my post today!) I think that what you did on this card is just perfect for these leaves, and I could just picture the wind sifting them down from the branches. Really good job, Lynn. Definitely not a FLUB! TFS & Hugs

This is a "flub"? Mine should look so good. It's gorgeous and simple and elegant. You should have told us it was exactly what you were picturing in your head. None of would have known any different. :-D

Regardless of what you see, I see one gorgeous card with beautiful, delicate stamping and sponging! You've done this stamp set justice, even though you don't "get it" but this viewer sure does! Nice stamping job!!

This may be a flub to you (yes, we all have them!!), but it's a beautiful flub!! It actually looks like some expensive DP. Fabulous card!!!

(Spice frantage? Must look for that!)
My husband actually (VERY oddly) helped me a lot with this very issue. I get caught up in what I wanted to create, and can't step back afterwards to appreciate it on its own merit - that's where it helps to get feedback :) As you no doubt know by now, the rest of us think it turned out amazing! I love the twine and dew drops, and YAY for fun play time :)
