Happy Fall Y'all

We're finally going to get some fall type weather around here.  We still have a few more days of summer/whatever since it's going to be in the 80's once again, but fall is right around the corner and should be here next week.  Yay!

Card:  Used an Art Impression image and watercolors (still practicing on that).  I think these are called Window images or something like that but I just made a very clean and simple card with the stamp.

The flowers:  Ah.....I love seeing all the different varieties of mums at the stores this time of year.  I KILL THEM!  I've decided that's probably one of the reasons for my existence.   Every year, I see the mums and they're so pretty - so I buy at least one pot, bring them home, and they promptly die.  I mean really quick too!   I leave them in their pots and they don't even hang around for a week and then they're dead .......SO, this year I'm going to do it different!  I bought some this morning (see below) and have set them on the counter.  By tomorrow morning they'll be in the ground outside!  Yep, going to try that and see if it's any better.  I'll try and keep you updated on their death.  (And by the way.....if you look really close you can see the toe of my blue sneaker on the left.  Smile)!!

Thanks for stopping by.............

Lynn

Fabulous Autumn card Lynne, great stamp and water colouring, I love to water colour but what they call "messy water colour", and I'm with you on Mum's, I can buy them, but they don't last unless I put them outside and they will last 2 or 3 years sometimes if I cut back properly, which I don't very often, but I try..beautiful colour here..

Same here, Lynn. Still in the 80s, but much cooler in the morning and the heat doesn't hang around as long. Yay! I love your fall scene - great coloring! And what beautiful mums! It's a hard flower for me to keep alive, too, even planting them in the ground. Last year my DIL bought me two pots and the next week they were dead, but I planted them in a huge vase I had and I'll be darned if they didn't come back! Now they are just starting to bud again. I'll send you a photo (remind me if I forget). Hugs, Darnell

Love your CAS card Lynn - and those flowers are stunning! I have yet to kill 'Mum's, my family tried this past summer by not watering them while I was away, but they are still going... a bit stunted from the trauma, but still alive :)

Really beautiful Autumn scene with your watercolor Lynn! I love your blue frame around it as it really makes your image pop out! Watercolor is something that I don't use very often to color with so thanks for the inspiration! I LOVE your mums! Gorgeous colors in them! We have some perianal mums that come out every year on the side of our porch and seem to overtake after a while so we cut them out...and they come back! They sure cheer me up when I see them! Hope they stay a while for you!!

That little Art Impression stamp is very pretty. I like the sentiment all around the image. Your watercolor looks great. Wow, you picked out some beautiful mums. Those variegated colors are stunning. I don't have a green thumb and once killed a plastic plant by leaving it on a radiator and melting it.

Welcome to the Death to Plants club! LOL The only plants I don't kill are made of plastic! Good luck with yours. I've determined that it's the sound of my voice the plants don't like. I got an orchid for Mother's day and it was deader than a doornail a week later! You already know I love this cute and CAS card! You colored it perfectly, good job!

Beautiful job with the watercolors...so pretty. I took my watercolors out about a week ago to try them for the first time. Well, yesterday I ended up putting them back in the drawer. Some other time I'll take them out again.

Great water coloring. Love the farm scene. As a child I lived on a farm and still miss it. If the mums are in a sunny spot and the soil is kept moist, not overly wet, they shoulod be fine. Feed them once in awhile and that is it.

Hugs and Blessings

You've watercolored this scene beautifully, Lynn! I have one of these stamps and I never had much luck with coloring it. I have the same problem with mums. I found a bunch of artificial ones that look so real, except they are living....I've had them for years. Best luck I ever had with a plant!

I love this card, really love this stamp! Your watercoloring is perfect to me, you have watercolored this image beautifully Lynn! More gorgeous in real life too! Ha, I had to laugh about the mums, I love them too and usually get some. But this year I didn't, might not have last year either....can't remember. I can keep them alive....until I put them in the ground. I think I wait to long or don't buy the hardy ones. And they have to be hardy to survive in the ground around here. The one you chose is gorgeous, loving those rich, fall colors! I hope it stays alive for you!!! I stopped the toe of your shoe right away, figured it was your shoe, but wasn't sure. lol Hugs, Brenda
