Getting Younger

No matter how old I get, there's still a few (not many, I know) older than me!!  I think that's why I love this sentiment from Taylored Expressions.  Since I have one of those milestone birthdays coming up in the near future (sigh), I figure I'd better use this sentiment every chance I get.

I used an old stamp from Art Impressions and I swear, every time I use it I laugh a little more.  Think it goes great with the fun sentiment too. Her skirt is paper pieced and then I added some squares - for what reason I have no idea, but they're there.  Maybe little presents?

Since I used snippets on this card I'd like to enter it in the challenge at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.  I haven't been over there in a while and once again, should be ashamed of myself.

Thanks for stopping by............
Lynn

Okay I just about fell out of my chair laughing!! The image and sentiment are the BEST and I love the way you did the little packages in the corner and the pieced skirt! I am the youngest among my friends so I have to remember this one! However my co workers and sibling are all younger and they could use it on me lol!

The little squares were one of the first things I noticed, Lynn, and I LOVE them! Great sentiment, and I'd be using it every chance I got, too. lol Wonderful paper piecing and matching the skirt paper with one of the squares really ties everything together. Fantastic card design, my friend!

And speaking of love, I really love those squares in the corner coming down like that! And how cute is the bow on the last one?!! It makes for a unique design on this card. I am loving the sentiment and need that sentiment for some birthday cards myself! lol I will have to write it down and use my Explore to write it out on a card. Too funny and I love it! Hugs, Brenda

Oh this made me laugh! Love that sentiment, your wonderful pieced skirt, and the trio of stitched squares to embellish this darling card. Love that you repeated the skirt pattern in one of the squares too! Terrific snippet card as well. (I'm in the same boat with having older folks to send cards to. The number keeps dwindling! ) TFS & Hugs

How cute! What a fun sentiment. Wouldn't work for me...because I am older than almost ALL my friends! Older than dirt, as they say...

I agree, Lynn, this stamp is very funny. What a great idea to paper piece her skirt for her birthday to make her look dressy. And as far as the paper goes, it is quite well co-ordinated even though the image is quite complete in itself. But then these are her presents and OFCOURSE they need to be on her card.

hahahhaha... I hear ya! Every time a DT wants a photo, I just cringe because I'm usually the oldest or one of the oldest.
At any rate, this card is hilarious and I love it.
