Birthday Girl

I think I only have one birthday for someone coming up this month so I went ahead and made a card for her.  I'm so good at making the cards and yet so bad at mailing them.  Sometimes if I have a bunch to do for the month I'll mail them all on the first no matter what day their birthday is.  Pretty awful I know.  I'm really going to try and time this one though so it's received on her actual birthday (as if that could really happen with the postal system)!

The image is from All Dressed Up (Country Girl) and I've colored it in Copics.  I did a little sponging with distress inks in the background, adding in the sky, and then framed it with a My Favorite Things die.  The patterned paper is from Unity.

I'll enter this in the challenge at All Dressed Up (anything goes with an All Dressed Up image).

Thanks for stopping by.....and keep smiling!
Lynn

She is just adorable and you colored her so fancy. I love her flutter sleeves and cute outfit in spring green. I love your optimism regarding the post office. Maybe add a day or two extra to mail!

Wow, she's so adorable! I love their images and you've done such a great job with coloring her up along with the scene! I always make lots of cards too and then forget to mail them out..that's where the "sorry I'm late" sentiment comes in handy! LOL

What wonderful coloring you've done with this image Lynn! I just love that blue sky too! The little frame works perfectly with that dsp background too. I don't know if this would help you, but I make all my birthday cards for the month ahead, and then write the date of their birthday in pencil on the corner where the stamp goes. As the date approaches, I put a stamp on over the date and mail them. Like you said though - the mail service is unpredictable in this day and age!

Your birthday girl is adorable, Lynn, and I love how you colored and framed her, and I love the background pp, too! Actually I kind of like your idea of mailing them all on the first. It saves a lot of trips to the post box and folks are simply delighted to get a card, no matter what date it arrives! Hugs, Darnell

I am going to start taking a page from your book Lynn, and mail my cards out at the beginning of each month since my cards arrive late even though I thought I mailing early! That was a mouthful wasn't it?!! LOL But seriously! This card is so bright and sunny and oh so cheerful! I love the sweet image and of course you have colored this cutie pie up perfectly. Then there are those clouds again....sigh, I dream of doing clouds like that! LOL Again, seriously! Love the pretty yellow pattern paper, works perfectly with this sweet image. Hugs, Brenda
